「衝撃的でした」中村俊輔の“伝説FK”が今なお反響「GK一歩も動けず」

現役引退・内田篤人の功績、CL日本人最長出場記録

「こっちをホームユニにしてください」セルティックの限定ユニフォームに異例の願いが多数!緑と白の横縞を採用してから120年を記念「これこそ完璧だ」

今季33ゴールと飛躍の前田大然がリーグMVPを受賞! 国内3冠まであと1つ、個人賞を総なめに

「奥さんが美人すぎる」横浜FC小川航基の記念セレモニーにファン注目「マスク取った方がいいってどゆこと」

「大輔のゴールに絡めて良かった」2点演出のカズ、引退試合の主役・松井大輔との思い出は「一緒に寮で暮らしていた」

横浜FC・山田康太が“盟友”久保建英の前で体現した、チームに求める“戦う姿勢”「選手一人ひとり、もっとできることがある」
「負けていい試合とも思っていなかったし、『もっとやらなきゃダメだよ』というのを見せたかった」 約2週間のリーグ中断期間を活かして開催された、横浜FCとソシエダによる親善試合。62分、相手のゴールキックに対してプレスをかけ牽制を図ったのは、直前に交代でピッチに立ったばかりの山田康太だった。 ソシエダとの対戦が決まり注目されていたのが、2018シーズンに横浜F・マリノスでともにプレーし、世代別代表としても切磋琢磨した、山田と久保建英との共演だ。過去には久保が山田の誕生日にゴールを決め、“康太のK”ポーズで祝福したエピソードを明かしており、二人の仲はメディアで何度も取り上げられてきた。 旧友との再会については、試合前こそ「頑張ります」と言葉少なだったが、いざ本人を目の前にすると、うれしそうに顔をほころばせる。集合写真の際にはそわそわと久保の位置を確認し、撮影のタイミングでは隣に並んで、再会の喜びを分かち合った。 しかし試合に入れば、リーグ戦と変わらない顔つきで目の前の相手に食らいつく。身振り手振りで積極的に指示を出し、たとえ親善試合でも「負けてはいけない」と、闘志むき出しで戦っていた。 今年3月、山田の横浜FCへの加入は青天の霹靂だった。所属していたガンバ大阪より「SNSの不適切利用による謹慎」が報じられ、大きな波紋を呼んだ。それでも「シーズン開幕後に予算の都合だったりもある中で声をかけていただいた」と獲得に至った横浜FCに感謝しつつ、リーグ戦全試合に出場し、J1残留争いを必死に戦っている。 自身のことを「何か飛び抜けているというわけでもない。でも、全部のことを普通よりも少し高い基準でやれるとは思っている」と表現する山田は、その言葉の通り、随所でスキルの高さを披露している。 加入からわずか2試合目の第6節・セレッソ大阪戦では、櫻川ソロモンからのマイナスのクロスをふかさず決め切り、早々にサポーターの心をつかんだ。第9節の清水エスパルス戦では、福森晃斗のクロスに身体を少し捻って頭で合わせ、加入後2得点目をマーク。さらに第14節の川崎フロンターレ戦ではプレースキッカーを務め、質の高いクロスで貴重な決定機をつくり、“全部のことを、普通よりも少し高い基準でやれる”を体現している。 一方で、“なんでもできる”がゆえに、負荷が集中しやすい側面もある。5月の連戦では、川崎戦でシャドーで先発し76分までプレーした後、中2日で臨んだ湘南ベルマーレ戦ではボランチで起用され、フルタイムを走り切った。その後も本職ではないボランチでの出場が続いたが、押し込まれる中で守備での負担が増加。本来の攻撃面での良さよりも、持ち味の一つであるハードワークに多くのパワーを割かなければいけなくなった。 それでも任されたポジションで試合に出る責任を全うし、起用法への疑念や愚痴はこぼさない。その分、たびたび口にするのが、いま大事にしている“サッカーを楽しみ、サッカーで楽しませたい”という思いだ。 「シャドーとボランチどっちで出ても頑張りたいし、楽しみながらやれればと思っています。自分一人でチームを勝たせられるような選手ではないけど、初めて会場に来た人やサッカーがわからない人が見ても、『いいな』と思ってもらえるようなプレーをしたい」 だが、観客をワクワクさせる“楽しいプレー”を試合で出せるようになったのも、これまで高い基準を求め合うシビアな環境で、チャレンジと失敗を繰り返し、成長してきたからこそのものだ。 途中加入の自分を迎え入れてくれたチームの温かさには、何よりも感謝している。ただ、徐々に馴染み、ボランチの位置でピッチ全体が見えるようになった中で、勝ちに行くための“戦う姿勢”や、一つひとつのプレーにおいての“厳しさ”がもっと必要なのではないかと提言する。 「自分で責任を負って、相手のプレスを受けて思い切って剥がしにいくような前向きなプレーも、そこでミスした時にお互いで指摘し合う厳しさも、このチームには少し足りない。次、頑張ろうと励まし合うのも大事だけど、1試合の中でもっと戦う姿勢を見せなきゃいけない。戦術の話をする前に、もっと一人ひとりできることがあると思います」 一つの隙やミスで失点し、巻き返しもできないままの連敗が続く中、ここ数週間は、練習取材でも同じような課題感を繰り返し口にしていた。はじめは「こうしたほうがいいんじゃないか」というニュアンスだった発言も、徐々に「自分からそういう雰囲気をつくっていかなくちゃいけない」という言葉に変わり、試合の中で味方に声をかけるシーンも増えている。 0ー2で投入されたソシエダ戦でも、横パスやバックパスではなく積極的に前進するプレーを選択し、自らがチームに求めたい“戦う姿勢”を貫いた。試合後の『もっとやらなきゃダメというのを見せたかった』という一言の裏には、「戦術が変わっても監督が代わっても、選手の意識が変わらなけらば状況は好転しない」という危機感を示唆していたのかもしれない。 7月10日には26歳の誕生日を迎え、プロ生活は8年目になった。「けっこう時間が経っちゃったな」と月日の流れの早さをしみじみと噛み締めるが、「まだ30代でもない」とも話すとおり、年齢的にも実力的にも、チャンスさえあればステップアップを再び目指せる立場ではある。 久保が前半でベンチに退き山田が後半からピッチに立ったため、2人の直接対決こそ叶わなかったが、山田のプレーを久々に間近で見た久保も「早く彼も代表に来てほしい」と、日の丸を背負って共闘する日を心待ちにしている。 それでも、今はハマブルーのユニフォームをまとい、一つでも多くの勝利をもたらすことが最重要任務である。1ー2で敗れたソシエダ戦後、必要な“意識改革”をあらためて強調した。 「すぐに味方にパスをして人任せにするのではなく、全員が勇気をもってプレーすることが大事。まずは練習のところから。もっと自分もやっていきたい」 “戦う姿勢”と“厳しさ”を自ら体現し、仲間の意識も引き上げる。その先にクラブ史上初のJ1自力残留、そして、山田自身の“再起”へとつながっていくはずだ。 取材・文=青木ひかる 2025.07.29 19:00 Tue

ブラジル人Jリーガーがネイマールやヴィニシウスら“現役セレソン”と肩組みショット披露!「また会えて嬉しいよ兄弟」
