「一発でこんなに変わるんだ」ブラジル戦で衝撃のロングシュート、逆転勝利に貢献した谷川萌々子は悔しさを胸に成長を誓う「チームを勝たせて、点を取れる選手になりたい」

パリ・オリンピックを戦ったなでしこジャパンが5日に帰国。MF谷川萌々子(ローゼンゴート)が大会を振り返った。 自身初となるなでしこジャパンでの国際大会に臨んだ谷川。大会前に足首を負傷した中、コンディションを調整するところからスタート。大会ではブラジル女子代表戦、ナイジェリア女子代表戦の合計10分程度の出場に終わった。 それでも、ブラジル戦では後半アディショナルタイムにPKを獲得して同点に追いつくと、その後に無人のゴールへロングシュート。大逆転勝利の立役者となり、インパクトを残した。 準々決勝のアメリカ女子代表戦はメンバー外となり、驚きを与えたが、「足の状態というよりは、少し体調を崩してベンチ外でした」と、コンディションを崩していたと明かした。 それでも大きなインパクトを残した谷川。「自分自身は最後のアメリカ戦でチームに貢献できなかったことが一番悔しい気持ちです。そういう気持ちで大会を終えたので、次は4年後になりますが、ワールドカップやオリンピックではもっと中心選手になって、チームを勝たせて、点を取れる選手になりたいと思います」と、今後への意欲を示した。 足首を負傷した中でチームに合流した谷川。「合流した時はランニングとかはできていましたが、ケガした時は歩くのも辛かった感じです。合宿に集合していたときはランニングできていたので、いけると思っていました」とコメント。その中で、国際大会になでしこジャパンとして初めて臨んだ。 「小さい頃からの夢の舞台だったので、楽しみな気持ちでいっぱいでした。短い時間でしたが、多くの観客が入った中でプレーできるという喜びは本当に大きかったですし、またああいう場でプレーして、日本のために戦いたいなという思いが強まりました」 ブラジル戦の圧巻のゴールは反響が大きかったようで、「ブラジル戦後は特にたくさんの方がメッセージをしてくれたので、ああいう一発でこんなにも変わるんだと自分でも感じました」と驚きも感じたという谷川。日本でも突如現れたシンデレラガールという取り扱いだったが「期待されることは本当に嬉しいことですし、そこに対して期待を裏返すようなプレーをするには、もっと成長する必要があるので、もっとやっていきたいなと思います」と、期待を超えて行きたいと意気込んだ。 実際には短い時間の出場に終わったが、インパクトを残した谷川は「あの短い時間だけで考えれば手応えはありましたが、外から見ていたスペイン戦の90分間は守備の時間が長くて、唯さんや風花さんのように90分間ハードワークするという力をもっとつけなければいけないなと思った反面、もっと自分たちがボールを握る必要があるなとも感じました」と分析。「自分たちもスペインのようなサッカーができるように、個人としてもチームとしても成長していかなければいけないなと感じました」と、より主導権を握り続ける戦いをしたいと振り返る。 それでもやはり不完全燃焼という思いが強い谷川。「不完全燃焼という形で本当に終わってしまったので、ケガも大会前にしてしまいましたし、そういうところでも、メンタル的にも、身体的にも大人になる必要があると感じました」と、より成長して行きたいと意欲を口にする。 中盤にはMF長谷川唯(マンチェスター・シティ)、MF長野風花(リバプール)が君臨するが、「まずはサッカー選手としてピッチに立つことが1番だと思うので、ポジション争いはもっと積極的にやらないといけないと思いますが、唯さんも風花さんもすごく良い選手なので、一緒にピッチに立ちたい気持ちが強いです」と、ポジション奪取以上に、3人で中盤を形成したいという思いを明かした。 3年後の女子ワールドカップ、そして4年後のオリンピックと中心になっていくであろう谷川の成長に期待がかかる。 <span class="paragraph-title">【動画】衝撃の一発!19歳谷川萌々子が後半ATに圧巻ロングシュート!</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <script>var video_id ="mR5bRPbdKlc";var video_start = 0;</script><div style="text-align:center;"><div id="player"></div></div><script src="https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/js/youtube_autoplay.js"></script> 2024.08.05 23:58 Mon

長谷川唯が2年連続PFA年間ベストイレブン選出! 最優秀選手賞は逃すもチームメイトが受賞

猫を蹴飛ばし、平手打ち…虐待動画流出のズマが謝罪 「あのような行為は二度と起こらない」

日本人も多くプレーするイングランド女子サッカーの人気沸騰…残り6節で最多入場者数を更新、2月には歴代最多の1試合6万人超

イングランドでの女子サッカー熱はかなり高まりを見せているようだ。 FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)は、イングランドの女子サッカーの最高峰リーグ。プレミアリーグに所属するトップクラブの女子チームの多くが参戦している。 近年は日本人選手も大量にプレーしており、今シーズンはなでしこジャパンでプレーするMF長谷川唯(マンチェスター・シティ)、MF長野風花(リバプール)、FW宮澤ひなた(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)、DF清水梨紗、MF林穂之香、FW植木理子(いずれもウェストハム)、FW浜野まいか(チェルシー)、MF籾木結花、MF宝田沙織(共にレスター・シティ)がプレーしている。 その他にもワールドクラスの選手が多くプレーするFAWSLだが、今シーズンの人気は圧倒的だという。 イギリス『BBC』によると、15日にスタンフォード・ブリッジで行われたチェルシーvsアーセナルでは、チェルシーがクラブ記録となる3万2970人を動員したとのこと。この試合により、今シーズンの総入場者数が71万7721人となった。 年々人気が高まっており、2022-23シーズンは過去最高の入場者数を記録。その数は68万9297人であり、すでに今シーズンは記録を更新することとなった。 なお、リーグ戦は残り6節、36試合あり、いかに今シーズンの集客数が飛び抜けているかが分かるだろう。 その要因の1つは男子チームが使用するスタジアムでの試合数が増加したこともあるとされ、スタジアムのキャパシティが大幅に増えたことが影響。ただ、そのキャパシティを埋めるだけの観客が集まることが熱狂を産んでいる。 2月にはアーセナルがマンチェスター・ユナイテッドをエミレーツ・スタジアムに迎えた試合で、6万160人を動員。これはFAWSL史上最高記録となっている。 2024.03.20 13:10 Wed
