アメリカ合衆国サッカー連盟(USSF)は18日、2023年のアメリカ年間最優秀選手にFWクリスチャン・プリシック(ミラン/25)が選出されたことを発表した。今季加入したミランでは、2023年の公式戦22試合に出場し、7得点4アシストを記録。アメリカ代表でも6ゴール3アシストの数字を残し、同代表での年間最多得点者となっていた。
支持率は53%。2位のユヌス・ムサ(ミラン/21.5%)を圧倒した。また、最優秀若手選手にはヴォルフスブルクのFWケビン・パレデスが選出された。
2017年に19歳という史上最年少で同賞に選出されたプリシックは、これが4度目の受賞に。最多タイ記録となり、アメリカ代表のレジェンドであるランドン・ドノバン氏に並ぶ偉業達成となった。

アメリカ代表から5名が離脱…プリシックやマッケニーがクラブへ帰還

衝撃の逮捕劇…元アメリカ女子代表GKホープ・ソロが飲酒運転&児童虐待で起訴へ

アメリカ女子代表の16歳MFはなでしこ戦でのデビューはあるか、UWCLでは熊谷紗希&南萌華とも対戦

「腰抜け」発言のアメリカ女子代表GKホープ・ソロが6カ月の謹慎処分
▽アメリカサッカー連盟(USSF)は25日、アメリカ女子代表GKホープ・ソロ(35)に対し、6カ月の謹慎処分を下したことを発表した。 ▽2005年からアメリカ女子代表の正守護神として活躍していたソロは、2008年の北京オリンピック、2012年のロンドン・オリンピックで金メダル獲得に貢献。2015年の女子ワールドカップではアメリカ代表の優勝に貢献していた。 ▽オリンピックで女子サッカーが競技に採用されてから5大会連続でメダルを獲得(金メダル4個、銀メダル1個)してきたアメリカだったが、リオ・デジャネイロ オリンピックでは準々決勝のスウェーデン戦でPK戦の末に敗戦。大会4連覇だけでなく、メダル獲得も逃していた。 ▽試合後にソロはスウェーデンの戦い方に苦言を呈し「腰抜けの集まりだった。より優れていたチームが勝てなかったと思う。スウェーデンが勝ち進めるとは思えない」とコメント。しかし、このコメントが処分の対象となった。 ▽USSFのスニル・グラティ会長はホープ・ソロの処分について声明を発表。受け入れがたいとし、処分を与える決定を下したことを明かした。 「オリンピック時のスウェーデン戦後のホープ・ソロのコメントは、受け入れられるものではなく、代表チームの選手に必要な行動基準を満たしてしません」 「競技場内の結果だけでなく、オリンピックはフェアプレーと敬愛の念を表すものです。我々は、例外なく、我々の代表選手たちがこの原則を尊重することを期待しています」 「過去にソロが関わった事件を考慮し、アメリカ代表メンバーに適した振る舞いを彼女に要求していた中で、プライベートな会話と同様に、今回の懲戒処分が適切であると決定しました」 ▽6カ月の謹慎処分を受けた35歳のソロは、今回の処分により2017年2月までアメリカ女子代表としてプレーできないこととなる。なお、「腰抜けの集まり」と言われたスウェーデンは決勝まで進出。ドイツ女子代表に敗れたものの、銀メダルを獲得していた。 2016.08.26 10:30 Fri
