メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

ゴールデンボーイ賞に異変? ベリンガムが数時間で爆発的な得票を得ることに、原因は“世界的歌姫”テイラー・スウィフト
ヨーロッパの最優秀若手選手に贈られるゴールデンボーイ賞。その投票に、世界的人気を誇る歌手が大きく影響を与えたようだ。 ゴールデンボーイ賞は、イタリア『トゥットスポルト』が主催する若手に向けた賞。21歳以下のヨーロッパのクラブでプレーする選手が対象となる。 2022年はバルセロナのスペイン代表MFガビ、2021年は同じバルセロナのスペイン代表MFペドリが受賞。2020年には当時ドルトムントでプレーしていたマンチェスター・シティのノルウェー代表FWアーリング・ハーランドが受賞していた。 2023年も投票が進む中、首位を走っていたのはバルセロナのスペイン代表DFアレハンドロ・バルデ。ファンによるウェブ投票で首位を走り、バルセロナの3連覇が予想されていた。 しかし、バルデのとある発言が、この投票に大きな影響を与えることとなってしまった。 バルデは5月にスペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』のインタビューに応じ、その中で「テイラー・スウィフトは好きですか?」と問われると「いいや、彼女の音楽は好きじゃない」と答えたていた。仮に興味がなくとも、「あまり聞いたことがない」などと答えてもよかったはずが、素直に「好きではない」と答えたことが大きな騒動となる。 テイラー・スウィフトは、世界中にファンがいる女性シンガーソングライター。日本にも熱狂的なファンが多く、「スウィフティーズ」と呼ばれるファンを世界中に抱えている。 最も耳馴染みのある曲で言えば、ビルボードで1位を獲得し、初の全米1位を獲得した『We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together』。『テラスハウス』という番組で使用されるなどして日本でも人気を呼んだ。テイラー・スウィフトの楽曲は音楽サービス『Spotify』で1日1億回以上再生され、チャートのトップを数カ月維持するなど多くの人気を誇り、推定5億1800万人のファンが世界中にいるとされている。 サッカー好きの「スウィフティーズ」が、バルデのこの発言を拡散すると、徐々に広がり、バルデが「好きではない」と発言したことに反応。2位につけていたレアル・マドリーのイングランド代表MFジュード・ベリンガムに対して投票するようにファンが呼びかけると、数時間で数十万票が集まり、52万票まで増加。バルデの2倍まで数字が伸びてしまったのだ。 バルデやベリンガムをはじめ、投票した「スウィフティーズ」たちがどこまでサッカーを知っているかは不明だが、バルデは人が愛し、情熱を捧げているものをむやみに否定することがどういった結末を迎えるのかというのを身をもって体感することになってしまったようだ。 なお、ゴールデンボーイ賞は最終的には30人の専門ジャーナリストが選出することに。9月末に最終候補リストが決まり、その後11月に受賞者が決定する。ファンの投票ではベリンガムがかなり優勢だが、実際に今季加入したマドリーでも結果を残している状況。このままの受賞も十分にありそうだ。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】ファンの怒りを呼び起こさせた投稿</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hey Swifties!
