3日から4日にかけて2022-23 Yogibo WEリーグ第5節の5試合が各地で行われた。三菱重工浦和レッズレディースは、大宮アルディージャVENTUSとの"さいたまダービー"で3-0の完勝。唯一の開幕4連勝で首位をキープしている。
浦和は9分、水谷有希のクロスに対し、DFと被った大宮GK望月ありさのパンチングが甘くなると、こぼれ球を遠藤優が蹴り込んで先制点を奪取。40分にはその遠藤の突破からPKを獲得し、菅澤優衣香が沈めてリードを広げる。
4試合連続の複数得点とした浦和は、3分後に大宮DF乗松瑠華の軽率なパスを塩越柚歩がカット。ラストパスから再び菅澤が決めた。
また、高橋はなを負傷離脱で欠く浦和は、この試合でセンターバックに安藤梢を起用した。公式戦初とは思えないほどの安定感を見せ、狙いすませたインターセプトなども披露。今季初となるチームのクリーンシートへ大きく貢献している。
