カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で見事に優勝を果たしたアルゼンチン代表の選手たちが、大勢のファンが集まる中でパレードを行った。18日に行われたカタールW杯決勝で、36年ぶり3度目の優勝を果たしたアルゼンチン。英雄FWリオネル・メッシが最後のW杯と位置付けたなか、アルゼンチン国民のほとんどがメッシにW杯のトロフィーを掲げてもらいたいと願った。
メッシにとって子供の頃からの悲願でもあったW杯を見事に制覇。ベテランと若手が融合した団結力がチームを支え、窮地に追い込まれながらも最後はPK戦を制して勝利した。
そのアルゼンチン代表は20日の未明にアルゼンチンへ帰国。正式なパレードではない夜中でも、大勢のファンが出迎え、空港からアルゼンチンサッカー連盟(AFA)の施設までの3kmの道のりに1時間がかかるほどだったという。
そんななか、20日の12時からパレードが開催。首都ブエノスアイレスの街を巡る中、信じられないほどの人が集まる事態となった。
ファンは「なんて美しい狂気だ」、「感動的だ」、「素晴らしい光景」、「これは映画か」とコメント。誰もが臨んだ結末を迎えた壮大なドラマが完結し、喜びを分かち合う光景は感動を呼んでいる。

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

急遽開催国となったマスチェラーノ率いるU-20アルゼンチン代表メンバーが発表!ガルナチョは選外、レドンド息子や神童・ロメロら
