2018年7月2日。3年前の出来事を覚えているだろうか。FIFAのワールドカップ公式ツイッターが1本の動画を共有。それは、ロシア・ワールドカップ ラウンド16のベルギー代表vs日本代表のあのゴールだった。

大会直前にヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ監督を解任した日本代表は、西野朗監督が急遽率いてロシアW杯に臨んだ。
グループHに入った日本は、初戦でコロンビア代表相手に香川真司と大迫勇也のゴールで1-2と勝利。2戦目のセネガル代表戦は2度相手にリードされる展開となったが、乾貴士と本田圭佑のゴールで2-2の引き分けに終わった。

そして迎えた第3節。ポーランド代表と対戦した日本は、0-1でリードされる展開に。しかし、フェアプレーポイントでの勝ち抜けを考え、ビハインドながら攻め込まない展開を見せると、そのまま試合終了。狙い通り、フェアプレーポイントでの勝ち上がりを決めた。
そして迎えたラウンド16。相手は優勝候補にも挙げられていたベルギーだった。

そのベルギー相手に前半を0-0で終えた日本は、48分に原口元気のゴールで先制。さらに52分には乾貴士のゴールでリードを0-2と広げる。

まさかの展開に多くの日本人は胸が踊っていた一方で、負けるわけにいかないベルギーは選手交代で手を打つことに。すると69分にヤン・ヴェルドンゲン、74分にマルアン・フェライニと空中戦を使われて同点に追いつく。

日本も粘りを見せて攻め込む中、誰もが延長戦にもつれ込むと思った後半アディショナルタイム4分に悲劇が待っていた。

日本は攻め込むと左CKを獲得。これを本田がゴール前にクロス。しかし、これはGKティボー・クルトワがキャッチする。すると、すぐさま周囲を見たクルトワはアンダースローでボールを前へ。これをケビン・デ・ブライネが受けてドリブルを開始。ベルギー全体がカウンターの形に入ると、そのまま相手陣内まで持ち上がって右サイドへスルーパス。これを右サイドを上がっていたトーマス・ムニエが受けると、ダイレクトでグラウンダーのクロス。中央のロメル・ルカクがスルーすると、走り込んだナセル・シャドゥリが押し込み、ベルギーが奇跡の逆転を果たした。

日本人にとっては当然ながら、世界中のサッカーファンにとっても忘られない一戦となったこの試合。公開されると「最高の試合だった」
「伝説のカウンターアタック」とベルギーの綺麗なカウンターに称賛の声が。一方で「これはスイスvsフランスか?」という声もあり、先日のユーロ2020のラウンド16になぞらえる人も出てきた。

この勝利、実はW杯では偉業の1つであり、ノックアウトステージで2点差を逆転して勝ち上がったのは48年ぶりだった。

なお、劇的勝利からちょうど3年が経った2021年7月2日、日本に勝利したベルギーはユーロ2020ベスト4をかけてイタリア代表との準々決勝に臨む。

森保監督続投で歴代最長監督はというと…/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み

まだ正式決定ではないが、森保一監督の『2年間の』続投が決まったようだ。正式には来年のJFA(日本サッカー協会)理事会での承認待ちになる。その頃にはコーチ陣などのスタッフの詳細も決定しているだろう。 93年のJリーグ誕生以降、日本代表の監督は基本的にW杯の4年サイクルで交代してきた。例外は94年のアジア大会で韓国に敗れたロベルト・ファルカン氏、97年のアウェー中央アジア2連戦で更迭された加茂周氏、07年に病に倒れたイヴィチャ・オシム氏、15年に契約解除されたハビエル・アギーレ氏、そして18年に解任されたヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ氏の5人しかいない。 そうした過去30年の歴史のなかで、初めて『続投』が決定的となったのが森保監督である。目標としていた「ベスト8」には届かなかったものの、大国ドイツとスペインに逆転勝ちを収めたことが高く評価されたことは言うまでもない。 そこで過去の歴代監督の任期を振り返ると、上には上がいるもので、長沼健氏(元JFA会長)は1962年から69年までの7年間と、さらに72年から76年までの4年間、トータル11年間も日本代表の監督を務めた。「時代が違う」と言ってしまえばそれまでだが、おそらく2度と破られることのない記録と言っていいだろう。 長沼氏が“長期政権"を担うことになったのには理由がある。64年に東京五輪があったからだ。このため62年に33歳の若さで監督に抜擢された。そして東京五輪ではグループリーグでアルゼンチンを倒して決勝トーナメントに進出。準々決勝で銀メダルに輝いたチェコスロバキアに0-4で敗れたが、ベスト8進出で日本に“第1次サッカーブーム"を巻き起こした。 さらに4年後のメキシコ五輪では、アジア勢初となる銅メダル獲得の快挙を達成。その再現を半世紀後の21年東京五輪で森保監督は期待されたが、残念ながらメダルにはあと一歩届かなかった。 長沼氏は69年のメキシコW杯アジア1次予選で、韓国とオーストラリアの後塵を拝したことで監督の座をコーチだった岡野俊一郎氏(元JFA会長)に譲る。しかし岡野氏が71年のミュンヘン五輪予選で韓国とマレーシアに負けたことで、日本サッカーの復権は再び長沼氏に託されることになった。 ところが73年の西ドイツW杯アジア予選はイスラエル(当時はアジアに所属し、中東勢が対戦を拒否したため予選は東アジアに組み込まれた)とマレーシアに敗れ、76年のモントリオール五輪アジア予選も韓国とイスラエルに敗れて監督から退くことになった。 当時の日本サッカーは、「W杯予選は負けても当たり前」であり、五輪予選で敗退するたびに監督は交代していた。Jリーグ開幕以前では、92年のバルセロナ五輪アジア最終予選で敗れた横山謙三総監督、88年ソウル五輪アジア最終予選で中国に逆転負けを喫した石井義信氏(故人)、80年モスクワ五輪アジア予選で韓国とマレーシアに及ばなかった下村幸男氏らである。 しかし96年のアトランタ五輪に28年ぶりに出場して以来、五輪出場は7大会連続して出場。その間には12年ロンドン五輪と21年東京五輪ではメダルまであと一歩に迫った。もう五輪は出場するのは当たり前で、次の24年パリ五輪は「メダル獲得」がノルマになるだろう。 同じようにW杯も98年以降7大会連続して出場中で、さらに2026年のアメリカ・カナダ・メキシコ大会は出場国が48に増えるため、出場権を失うことはまず考えられない。森保監督にとっては「ベスト8」への再チャレンジになるが、その前に横内昭展ヘッドコーチは磐田の監督に、上野優作コーチはFC岐阜の監督に転身するなどスタッフの陣容は一新せざるを得ない。 果たして新たなスタッフの顔ぶれはどうなるのか。そこに外国人コーチが入るのかどうかなどは楽しみなところ。 そして森保監督は、23年こそ秋まで親善試合しかない“静かな"一年になるものの、21年東京五輪は「金メダル」を目標に掲げながらも4位に終わり、カタールW杯も「ベスト8」が目標だったがラウンド16で敗退した。このため、まだ先の話ではあるが、24年のアジアカップでは『優勝』がW杯まで続投するためのノルマにすべきではないだろうか。 2022.12.26 22:00 Mon

手倉森誠氏が約1年ぶりにBGパトゥム・ユナイテッドの監督に再任!

タイのBGパトゥム・ユナイテッドは25日、新監督に手倉森誠氏(56)を招へいしたことを発表した。 手倉森氏は2008年～2013年までベガルタ仙台を率い、2009年にJ2リーグを制してJ1リーグ昇格。2012年にクラブ最高位の2位フィニッシュで初のAFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)出場に導いた。 仙台の監督退任後は世代別の日本代表監督やフル代表のコーチを歴任。2016年のリオ・デ・ジャネイロ五輪では指揮を執っていた。 その後、ヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ監督の下で日本代表のコーチを務めると、2019年から2シーズンに渡りV・ファーレン長崎の指揮を執り、2021年からは8シーズンぶりに仙台に復帰。 震災から10年という節目にチームの再建を託されたが11月にチームを退任。2022年1月からパトゥムの指揮官に就任すると、シーズン途中の就任ながらチームを2位に押し上げる手腕を披露、AFCチャンピオンズリーグではタイ勢として初の8強入りにチームを導いた。 しかし、秋春制のタイ1部リーグでは開幕から10試合を戦って5勝2分け3敗と7位と振るわず、同年10月に解任。今シーズンからチョンブリーFCの監督を務めていたが、開幕から11試合を戦って2勝4分け5敗と15位と低迷。6日のタイリーグカップ1回戦のサムットプラーカーン・シティ戦は2-0で勝利したが、それがラストゲームとなった。 なお、クラブから契約期間などは明かされていないが、2024年1月に合流しチームを指揮するとのことだ。 2023.12.26 08:00 Tue

第20回を迎えた日本サッカー殿堂の掲額式典が9月29日にJFAサッカー文化創造拠点のblue-ing! で開催された。今年の掲額者はセリエAのユベントスやACミラン、インテル・ミラノなどの監督を歴任し、2010年に日本代表の監督に就任したアルベルト・ザッケローニ氏が「特別選考」で殿堂入りを果たした。 ザッケローニ氏は監督就任早々の10年10月8日には初めてアルゼンチンを倒すなど順風満帆のスタートを切った。そして年が明けた11年は苦しみながらもアジアカップカタール2011で優勝を遂げた。13年6月のコンフェデ杯はブラジル、イタリア、メキシコに3連敗を喫したものの、7月に韓国で開催された東アジアカップでは敵地で韓国を2-1で破って初優勝を果たした。 しかし期待された14年のブラジルW杯では初戦でコートジボワールに1-2で敗れると、続くギリシャ戦は0-0で引分けたが最終戦のコロンビアには1-4と大敗し、グループリーグでの敗退を余儀なくされた。 当時を振り返り、やはりやり直したいのは「コートジボワール戦」というのは偽らざる本音だろう。グループリーグ敗退の原因を、「チーム全員が優勝するという同じ熱量を持っていなかった」と振り返ったが、当時としてはそれも仕方のないことだったと思う。 第20回を迎え、殿堂掲額者は投票と特別選考での選出を合わせて92人と3チームになった(1936年ベルリン五輪と1968年メキシコ五輪銅メダルの日本代表と、2011年ドイツW杯優勝のなでしこジャパン)。代表監督はプロ契約がスタートした92年のハンス・オフト氏以来、短命で終わったロベルト・ファルカン氏とハビエル・アギーレ氏、JFAと仲違いしたヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ氏以外の8人が選出されている。 その一方で寂しかったのが、「日本サッカーに永年にわたって顕著な貢献をした選手」、「満60歳以上の者(物故者は含まれない)」という二つの資格要件に従い殿堂・表彰委員会にてリストアップし、サッカーの取材経験が豊富なメディア関係者や歴代殿堂掲額者、JFA理事らによる投票で選出されるOBが、今年も得票率を満たすことができずに選出が見送られたことだ。 20年に選出された木村和司以来、4年連続しての“該当者なし”であり、その間に金田喜稔氏は資格を失った。今年度の候補者は原博実氏(第16回から継続)、森下申一氏、松永成立氏、都並敏史氏、柱谷幸一氏、柱谷哲二氏(いずれも第18回から継続)だったが、各氏とも掲額に値すると思うものの、基準を満たすことはできなかった。メディア関係者には3票の投票権が与えられているが、票が割れてしまったのだろうか。 受賞資格としては「日本代表50試合以上の出場」か「JSL1部およびJ1リーグ通算210試合以上出場」という規定がある。しかしながら代表戦とJ1リーグの試合数がJSL時代とは比較にならないほど増えているだけに、今後は候補者の増加が予想される。 このため殿堂掲額者の投票による選考方法も再考する時期に来ているのではないか。そんな思いを強くした、第20回を迎えた殿堂掲額式典でもあった。 2024.09.30 22:30 Mon

昨季10ゴールの元日本代表MF久保裕也が無断欠席…シンシナティの指揮官も苦言「姿を見せる義務がある」

メジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のFCシンシナティに所属する元日本代表MF久保裕也がチーム活動を無断欠席していることが判明した。 京都サンガF.C.の下部組織出身の久保は、トップチームに昇格後、スイスのヤング・ボーイズに移籍し海外挑戦。その後、ヘント、ニュルンベルクと渡り歩き、2020年1月からアメリカでプレーを続けている。 ヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ監督の下では日本代表としても13試合に出場し2ゴールを記録していた久保。かつてはストライカーとしての働きがメインだったが、シンシナティではボランチやトップ下など中盤でプレー。ユーティリティな選手として、公式戦158試合で18ゴール9アシストを記録している。 2024シーズンもMLSで32試合に出場し10ゴール3アシストと大きく飛躍。しかし、新シーズンに向けたシンシナティの活動には参加していないとクラブが発表した。 シンシナティは21日からプレシーズンのキャンプをスタート。しかし、メディカルチェックを含め、久保は無断欠席。チームメイトである、ルチアーノ・アコスタ、ルカ・オレジャーノと共に、報告もなく欠席しているという。 なお、オレジャーノはメディカルチェックに現れたものの、久保とアコスタは依然として現れず。パット・ヌーナン監督は、受け入れられないと苦言を呈している。 「我々が期待していたこと、そして良いスタートを切ることができたことを考えると、確かに期待外れだ」 「話し合いはあったが、我々はもっと内部で対処し、前進するつもりだ。ただ、ここに彼らがいないことは残念だ」 「違う契約や違う状況を望んでいる選手はたくさんいるが、彼らは姿を見せた。好む、好まざるに関わらず、姿を見せる義務があり、その時間の枠内で意見が合わないかもしれないことに対する解決策を見つけたい」 「私にも仕事がある。物事がうまくいっているかどうかに関わらず、仕事場に現れ、チームメイト、コーチ、クラブを尊重し、満足していなくとも、良いプロになるつもりであることを示す必要がある」 なお、プレシーズンを過ごすキャンプのメンバーには久保とアコスタの名前も入っているが、「アコスタと久保はチーム活動への参加が遅れており、フロリダで合流する予定」と注意書きがされている。 アメリカに来て5年が経過。31歳とまだまだ活躍できる年齢である久保は、この冬にどこかへと移籍を果たすのか注目だ。 <span class="paragraph-title">【動画】久保裕也が後半途中出場から圧巻のハットトリックで逆転勝利に貢献</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <script>var video_id ="ZWg12opPi2I";var video_start = 284;</script><div style="text-align:center;"><div id="player"></div></div><script src="https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/js/youtube_autoplay.js"></script> 2025.01.22 12:15 Wed

「エース営業マンの風格」「スーツ姿カッコ良すぎる」谷口彰悟のスーツ姿をファン絶賛!日本代表選手が新幹線で新潟へ移動「いつでもスタイリッシュ」

「一瞬息が止まった」「イケメンすぎ」谷口彰悟のモデル姿が話題に! プーマのゴルフ部門でアンバサダーに「そろそろ絶命してしまう」

「なんて可愛いんでしょ」オナイウ阿道が妻と愛娘と家族ショット、七五三での着物姿に「とってもかわいい」など祝福の声

「石油王みたい」「すっかりアラブの人に」谷口彰悟がカタールの民族衣装を着こなし話題!鷹を腕に乗せる優雅な姿が反響「馴染みすぎや」

▽日本サッカー協会(JFA)は15日、国際親善試合及びキリンチャレンジカップ 2018 in EUROPEに臨む同国代表メンバー26名を発表した。 ▽メンバー発表会見に出席した日本代表のヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ監督は、今回の選考基準を説明。代表復帰となったDF森重真人(FC東京)やFW本田圭佑(パチューカ/メキシコ)への期待や初選出となったFW中島翔哉(ポルティモネンセ/ポルトガル)の招集理由についても明かした。 GK 川島永嗣(メス/フランス) 中村航輔(柏レイソル) 東口順昭(ガンバ大阪) 「GKは3人。ただ、現段階のパフォーマンスに満足している訳ではない。もっともっと向上して欲しい。」 DF 酒井宏樹(マルセイユ/フランス) 遠藤航(浦和レッズ) 「酒井は日本人選手の中では、定期的に高いパフォーマンスを継続している。ここ最近調子も良い。遠藤は昨日のルヴァンカップで少し問題が出た。今検査をしている段階と聞いている。ただ、バックアップはすでに用意している。何が起きても問題はない」 DF 長友佑都(ガラタサライ/トルコ) 車屋紳太郎(川崎フロンターレ) 宇賀神友弥(浦和レッズ) 「次に左サイド。長友はクラブを変えたにも関わらず、定期的に試合に出場していて嬉しい。彼の存在は日本代表に必要不可欠だ。車屋と宇賀神の戦いは、これから始まる。合宿を多くこなしている訳ではないが、右サイドでもいけるのかというのも見極めなくてはいけない。どこまでついて行けるかをこれから見ていく」 DF 昌子源(鹿島アントラーズ) 植田直通(鹿島アントラーズ) 槙野智章(浦和レッズ) 森重真人(FC東京) 「それから真ん中。最初の3人(昌子、植田、槙野)はもっとできると思っている。そして、森重をなぜ呼んだか。まだ彼は準備できている段階ではない。すぐに使う訳でもない。ただ、彼がどのような状況になっているかを知りたい。励ますためにも呼んでいる。彼が以前のレベルに戻るかどうか。もちろん(吉田)麻也がいないということもある。彼の経験が我々にとってどこまで使えるかというのもある。ただ、まだまだトップパフォーマンスには程遠い。モチベーションを上げる努力をしていかなくてはいけない。早くレベルを戻してほしい」 MF 長谷部誠(フランクフルト/ドイツ) 三竿健斗(鹿島アントラーズ) 山口蛍(セレッソ大阪) 「長谷部は真ん中もできれば後ろもできる。本会までにケガなくいってほしい。三竿は、良いパフォーマンスを続けている。(山口)蛍は、常に呼んでいる選手だが、守備だけで終わるのではなく攻撃のところでもっと野心を持ってほしい。代表では良いパフォーマンスを見せている。イラク戦では我々を助けてくれた選手の1人だ」 MF 大島僚太(川崎フロンターレ) 柴崎岳(ヘタフェ/スペイン) 森岡亮太(アンデルレヒト/ベルギー) 「大島は国内でも優秀な選手の1人。彼もよくケガをするが、我々もしっかりとコンタクトをとって、そこを脱して良い状況が続いていると思う。(柴崎)岳と森岡は、(香川)真司と清武が居ないこともあり、10番や8番のタイプとして期待している。柴崎は、クラブで毎回先発という訳ではないが、レベルが上がってきていると思う。森岡はすでに2、3回観ているが、フィジカル的なところやデュエルの部分でまだ伸びると思う。ゴール数やアシスト数はリーグでも断トツ。ただ、ゲームのアクションの中でまだまだ伸びる部分はあると思う」 FW 久保裕也(ヘント/ベルギー) 本田圭佑(パチューカ/メキシコ) 「久保もまだまだ私の満足いくパフォーマンスではない。それから(本田)圭佑は、このチャンスを是非とも掴んでほしい」 FW 原口元気(デュッセルドルフ/ドイツ) 宇佐美貴史(デュッセルドルフ/ドイツ) 中島翔哉(ポルティモネンセ/ポルトガル) 「原口と宇佐美は、同じクラブでプレーしている。ここ直近の数試合で宇佐美は、しっかりと伸びている状況。ある時期はチームで干されるかもしれない状況だったが、今は出ている。原口も同じだ」 「それから長い間追跡している中島。本当にたくさん試合に出場していて、得点やアシストもしている。ドリブラーでここまで俊敏で爆発的なものを持っている選手は日本になかなかいない。前回のオリンピック代表の監督であったテグ(手倉森誠)さんともしっかりと話をして、オフェンス面で何かもたらせるのではないかという判断。ただ、守備面では代表で私が求めるレベルではない。様子を見たい」 FW 小林悠(川崎フロンターレ) 杉本健勇(セレッソ大阪) 大迫勇也(ケルン/ドイツ) 「最初の2人はここ最近で本当に伸びてきている。オフェンス面で日本で素晴らしい結果を出している。彼も自分たちのプレーの仕方を変えて伸びてきている。真ん中の選手として、アグレッシブに背後、そしてペナルティエリア内で存在感を出している。それから相手の最終ラインからの組み立てを最初に防ぐ仕事もしている。我々が観たここ数試合でも良いパフォーマンスだった。これを続けてくれと言いたい」 「大迫は、クラブで真ん中でなく、横や後ろでもプレーしているが、良くなってきている。代表ではクラブとは全く違うアクションをしてほしい。常に背負った状態でプレーするのではなく、ゴールに向いてプレーして欲しい。この3人は素晴らしいヘディングを持っている。W杯本大会でもこれが重要になってくる。もちろんFKを貰えればの話。守備でもしっかりと守らなくてはいけない。大事になってくる。W杯ではFKが決定的な状況を作ることもある」 ▽なお、日本代表は、3月のベルギー遠征で2試合の国際親善試合を予定。ロシアW杯に向けた選手見極めとチーム強化のため、マリ代表(23日/ベルギー)、ウクライナ代表(27日/同)と対戦する。 2018.03.15 19:50 Thu
