物議を醸しているアトレティコ・マドリーのPKだが、蹴った本人のアルゼンチン代表FWフリアン・アルバレスもミスを犯した自覚はなかったようだ。12日、アトレティコはチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)のラウンド16・2ndレグでレアル・マドリーと対戦。開始直後の先制点で2戦合計スコアをイーブンに戻したが、その後はマドリーのPK失敗もあり試合は動かず、PK戦の末にベスト8入りを逃した。
争点となっているのがPK戦のアルバレスの失敗。強烈なシュートを左上に突き刺したが、滑った軸足が蹴ったボールに触れていたとしてVARチェックが入り、2度蹴りの判定で成功が失敗に覆った。
このPKについてマドリーのベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワは「見ていて辛かったし、相手にとっては不運だった」と言及。一方、ディエゴ・シメオネ監督は「被害者意識にはうんざり」「彼ら(審判団)ははっきり見抜いてそのように判定した」「2点目を狙わなかった彼ら(アトレティコの選手たち)のプレーに問題がある」と120分間で決着をつけられなかったことを問題視した。
スペイン『マルカ』によると、アトレティコの議論は試合終了後のドレッシングルームでも続いたとのこと。当事者のアルバレスは「ボールに触れた感覚はなかった」と述べ、ボールが思い通りの方向へ飛んだことや、反対側に飛んだクルトワをその時点で欺いていたことを説明したという。

「僕世代のアイドル」アルバレスがメッシへの忠誠心語る「W杯優勝を手伝えて、この上ない誇り」

元チェルシーDFフィリペ・ルイスがアザールの衝撃事実を告白!「試合の5分前までマリオカートを…」
23日に行われるチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)ラウンド16のアトレティコ・マドリーvsチェルシーを前に、両クラブに在籍経験のあるフラメンゴの元ブラジル代表DFフィリペ・ルイスがイギリス『ガーディアン』のインタビューに答えた。 2010年から2014年にかけてアトレティコでプレーしていたフィリペ・ルイスは、2014年夏にチェルシーに移籍した。その夏を最後に退団したレジェンドのアシュリー・コールの後釜として高い期待がかけられていたが、当時の指揮官ジョゼ・モウリーニョの信頼を得られず、1年後にアトレティコへ戻っていった。 わずか1年の在籍だったが、フィリペ・ルイスは印象的なことが多かったとコメント。特にFWエデン・アザール(現レアル・マドリー)は、これまで共にプレーしてきた中で最高の選手だったとし、驚きの逸話を明かしている。 「ネイマールに並んで、エデンは僕が一緒にプレーした中で最高の選手だよ。メッシにも届くぐらい、彼は一人で試合を勝たせてしまっていた」 「あまり守備もしないしトレーニングもしてなかったけどね。試合の5分前までロッカールームでマリオカートで遊んでいた始末だよ」 「靴紐も結ばず練習やウォーミングアップをしていたよ。だけど誰も彼からボールを奪えなかった。簡単にドリブルで3、4人抜き去っていくんだ。近付き過ぎれば一瞬で引き離されてしまう。本当に凄かったよ」 フィリペ・ルイスはまた、2015年2月にチェルシーからフィオレンティーナにレンタル移籍したFWモハメド・サラーにも言及。その去り際に、引き留めようと理由を訪ねていたようだ。 「サラーがここまで優秀だとは誰も思わなかっただろう?それは違う。練習で僕は何度ヤツに屈辱を味わってきたか…」 「彼がフィオレンティーナに行くと聞いた時、僕は聞いたんだ。『どうして出ていくんだ?ここはチェルシーだぞ』って。そしたら彼はこう言った。『プレーするためだ』って」 「ああ、この少年(当時22歳)は凄いなと思ったよ。彼がサッカーをするのは決してお金やタイトルのためではなかった。彼は自分を証明するために移籍したんだ」 「トレーニングでの彼はメッシみたいだった。本当にね。誰にでも聞いてみるといいよ」 そして、フィリペ・ルイスは1年でチェルシーを退団しアトレティコに復帰した理由も説明。チェルシーに勧誘したディレクターのマリナ・グラノフスカイアに別れと感謝のメッセージを送っていたという。 「最後にマリナにメッセージを送ったんだ。ベストを尽くせなくてごめん、信じてくれてありがとうってね」 「これ以上モウリーニョの下にいたくなかった。でもこれだけは言わせてほしい。モウリーニョだけのせいではないと」 「チョロ(ディエゴ・シメオネ)がいれば、僕はまた昔のフィリペ・ルイスのようになれると思っていたんだ。後に彼はこう言ってくれた。『お前は私の下でなら上手くやれる。もう一度戻ってこい』とね」 「その通りだったよ。彼は僕の頭の隅々まで把握していた。復帰することに疑いは全くなかったよ」 2021.02.23 16:34 Tue
