アーセナルDFベン・ホワイトはイングランド代表でもうプレーしないのだろうか。
2021年6月に代表デビューを果たし、その夏にブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンからアーセナル入りしたホワイト。アーセナルでは本職のセンターバックでなく、右サイドバックとして地位を築き、今季のプレミアリーグでも開幕から3試合すべてにフル出場中だ。
代表にとっても堅実なプレーぶりに複数エリアをこなせるのも魅力的な選手だが、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で個人的事情を理由に途中離脱してから不参加が続く。ガレス・サウスゲイト前監督はまだチームを率いた頃、本人の招集拒否を明らかにした。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

ブリッジは“不倫男”テリーを未だに許さず? 自身の近くに引っ越し発覚後、自宅を売却に出す

「泣きながら電話した」アルコール依存症に苦しむ元イングランド代表ガスコイン氏が家を出て居候に、それでも闘病に決意「戦い続ける」
