バーンリーは28日、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのチュニジア代表MFハンニバル・メイブリ(21)を完全移籍で獲得した。
契約期間は2028年6月30日までの4年間。移籍金は非公開とされているが、イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、移籍金は540万ポンド(約10億3000万円)、ボーナスで400万ポンド(約7億6000万円)を支払う可能性があるとのことだ。
ハンニバルはモナコの下部組織から2019年8月にユナイテッドの下部組織に加入。2022年7月にファーストチームに昇格。2022-23シーズンはバーミンガム・シティ、2023-24シーズンは1月からセビージャにレンタル移籍していた。
ユナイテッドでは公式戦13試合に出場し1ゴールを記録。セビージャでは6試合の出場に終わっていた。
また、チュニジア代表としては27試合に出場している。
