元神戸のMFマタの新天地はアメリカに? 来季参入クラブに加入し株主にも…吉田麻也や山根視来とは来季対戦も

神戸では1試合の出場に終わったフアン・マタ

昨シーズンまでヴィッセル神戸でプレーした元スペイン代表MFフアン・マタ(36)だが、新天地はアメリカになるようだ。スペイン『RTPA』が伝えた。

レアル・マドリーの下部組織育ちのまたは、バレンシアでプロキャリアをスタート。その後、チェルシー、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、ガラタサライでプレーし、2023年9月に神戸に加入した。

明治安田生命J1リーグで初優勝を争っていた神戸に加入したものの、出場はたったの1試合に終わりそのまま退団。現在はフリーの状態が続いている。

現役続行を口にしていたマタだが、新天地はメジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)に来シーズンから参入するサンディエゴFCに移籍するとのこと。選手でありながら、株主にもなるとされている。

MLSは現在29チームが参加しており、サンディエゴFCを加えた30チームの構成になる予定。ウェスタン・カンファレンスに参入することとなる。

インテル・マイアミにはアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ、ウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレス、そして元スペイン代表のMFセルヒオ・ブスケッツやDFジョルディ・アルバが所属。その他、ロサンゼルス・ギャラクシーにはDF吉田麻也とDF山根視来が所属。バンクーバー・ホワイトキャップスにはGK高丘陽平が所属している。

吉田と山根がいるLAギャラクシーや高丘がいるバンクーバー・ホワイトキャップスはウェスタン・カンファレンスに所属しており、マタの移籍が実現すればシーズン中の対戦も実現することとなる。

ユーロ2024公式球が発表に!W杯でも採用のコネクテッド・ボール、カラフルなエッジ模様にスタジアムのイラストも
