ボカ会長選挙に勝利し支持者にもみくちゃにされるリケルメ氏

ボカ・ジュニアーズのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ新会長(45)が難しいミッションに直面している。アルゼンチン『Ole』が伝えている。

ボカひいてはアルゼンチンのレジェンド・リケルメ氏。昨年12月のクラブ会長選挙を制し、現役時代同様、名実ともにボカの象徴へと返り咲いたスーパースターだ。

当選から約2カ月、リケルメ新会長は14日、地元TV局の取材で「ラ・ボンボネーラはますます良い雰囲気だ。20万人収容の巨大スタジアムを作ると言いたいところだが、嘘も冗談も必要ない。真実を伝える」とコメントした。

“ラ・ボンボネーラ”はボカの本拠地。首都ブエノスアイレスに1940年に建造され、収容人数は5万4000人。故ディエゴ・マラドーナさんが「サッカーの聖地」と称えたスタジアムは、ライトグリーンの芝生以外は全てがクラブカラーの青と黄色で埋め尽くされており、観客席の傾斜は非常に高く、競馬場を彷彿とさせるメインスタンドの構造も特徴的だ。

実はこのスタジアムに関し、ホルヘ・アモール・アメアル前会長が昨年8月、「収容人数を最大8万2000人まで拡張するプロジェクト」の要請書をブエノスアイレス議会に提出。老朽化対策・観客席拡張・商業施設併設を同時に行う計画とされる。

すなわち、会長選挙でアメアル前会長のバックアップを受けたリケルメ会長はこの計画を継承するということだ。

しかし、リケルメ会長にはある懸念が。

「近所の人たちをどうしようか…。一軒一軒出向き、ドアをノックし、一家の長に対して『この土地を出ていってくれ』と頼まなければいけない。ラ・ボンボネーラの移転は出来ないが、彼らも慣れ親しんだ土地に残るべきだ」

そう、ラ・ボンボネーラは敷地のすぐそばにも近隣住宅が多数あり、拡張にはこれらを取り壊して住民に補償する必要があるのだ。

「誰もが新しくなったラ・ボンボネーラを見たいと願うが、それが叶うのは、すべてがうまくいった時のみだ」

リケルメ会長は1期目から困難なミッションに挑んでいる。

リケルメがボカ・ジュニアーズ新会長に選出! 2019年から副会長務める

元アルゼンチン代表MFのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ氏(45)が、ボカ・ジュニアーズの新会長に選出された。『AP通信』が伝えている。現役時代にバルセロナやビジャレアルなどでもプレーし、アルゼンチン代表では背番号10を背負ったリケルメ氏。2019年からは選手キャリアの大半を捧げた古巣ボカで副会長を務めている。リケルメ氏は前回の選挙でホルヘ・アモール・アメアル会長を支援し、同氏の当選に伴って現職に就いていたが、今回の選挙ではアメアル会長の後援を受けて自ら立候補。今回の選挙では元会長であるマウリシオ・マクリ氏の推薦を受け、立候補していたアンドレス・イバーラ氏との一騎打ちとなったなか、17日に本拠地ボンボネーラで行われた投票では4万3637票が投票され、投票率46%はクラブ新記録になったという。『AP通信』によると、半数弱の開票時点でリケルメ氏は得票率64.4%、イバーラ氏は35.3%だったという。なお、現時点でリケルメ氏の公のコメントはないが、イバーラ氏は「我々がしてきたことはすべてクラブを守るためだった。ボカは全てのもの、そして誰よりも優先する。ボカは平和と団結を取り戻す必要がある」とのコメント共に自身の敗北を認めた。リケルメ氏はボカで通算267試合に出場し、72ゴール68アシストを記録。在籍期間に5度のリーグ優勝と3度のコパ・リベルタドーレスを含む11個のトロフィーを獲得した。ボカは先日のコパ・リベルタドーレス決勝でフルミネンセに敗れるなど、近年は思うような成績を残せていないが、レジェンド新会長の下で新たな黄金期構築を目指す。 2023.12.18 22:19 Mon
