試合はカルモナの圧巻のミドルシュートで1-0とスペインが勝利。準決勝のスウェーデン女子代表戦でもミドルシュートを決めており、まさに初優勝を手繰り寄せる活躍を見せていた。
そのカルモナだが、女子W杯の最中に父親が亡くなっていたとのこと。長い闘病生活の末、18日に他界していたようだ。
カルモナは決勝戦でゴールを決めた際、自身のアンダーシャツを見せていたが、これは母親を亡くした友人に向けてのメッセージだった。しかし、自身の父親も亡くしていたのだ。

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

これぞ技術の進歩、AI分析によるW杯優勝国は? 日本の目標ベスト8の確率は12.47%、GS突破は33.91%に
