個の力は驚異的…なでしこジャパンのW杯初戦相手、ザンビアがアイルランドとの親善試合で長短露見

オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)でなでしこジャパンと対戦するザンビア女子代表は、22日にアイルランド女子代表との国際親善試合を行い、2-3で敗れた。

W杯で日本と同じグループCに属し、7月22日の初戦で顔を合わせるFIFAランキング77位のザンビア。主産業(銅やコバルト)やユニフォームカラーにちなみ、“コッパー・クイーンズ”の愛称を持つ。

本大会は初出場となるが、東京オリンピックではグループステージ敗退もFWバーバラ・バンダが大会史上初となる1大会2度のハットトリックを達成するなど、圧倒的な個の能力を有している。

FIFAランキング22位のアイルランド戦でもバンダは脅威に。裏への浮き球から右のハイサイドへ抜け出すと、ボックスへ侵入してクロス。これが相手DFに当たってゴールラインを割り、ザンビアに先制点をもたらした。

一方、4月の韓国女子代表戦同様、守備の難は抱えたままのようで、PKを献上して49分に追い付かれると、その後は63分にFK、71分にCKからも失点を喫する。

それでも、76分にショートカウンターからバンダのクロスにFWオチュンバ・ルバンジが合わせる好機を見せると、3分後はFWレーチェル・クンダナンジがターンとスピードを生かした見事な個人技で1点を返した。

ザンビアは勝利こそならなかったが、前線のタレントが力を発揮。なでしこの弱点である裏へのスプリント勝負は、本大会でも脅威となりそうだ。

今後は30日にスイス女子代表、7月7日にドイツ女子代表と、いずれもW杯に出場する国との親善試合を行い、7月22日のなでしこジャパンとの初戦に臨む。

「なんて可愛いんでしょ」オナイウ阿道が妻と愛娘と家族ショット、七五三での着物姿に「とってもかわいい」など祝福の声

「一瞬息が止まった」「イケメンすぎ」谷口彰悟のモデル姿が話題に! プーマのゴルフ部門でアンバサダーに「そろそろ絶命してしまう」

「漫画かよ」「ドラマがあるなぁ」“救世主”三笘薫と中村憲剛氏の13年前の姿にファンも感激「エモすぎる」
