6日、女子フィナリッシマ2023のイングランド女子代表vsブラジル女子代表が行われ、1-1で120分間が終了。PK戦の末、4-2でイングランドが初代女王に輝いた。女子ユーロ女王とコパ・アメリカ・フェメニーナ女王が対戦する新たなカップ戦。2022年に男子で復活したものだが、女子で初めて行われた。

女子ユーロ2022を制したイングランドと、コパ・アメリカ・フェミニーナを制したブラジルの一戦。ロンドンのウェンブリー・スタジアムで行われた。
試合は23分にホームで戦うイングランドが先制。右サイドを崩すと、ルーシー・ブロンズがボールを持ち内側のジョージア・スタンウェイへパス。スタンウェイはニアゾーンへのスルーパスを出すと、駆け上がったブロンズがグラウンダーのマイナスクロス。最後は、エラ・トゥーンがダイレクトで蹴り込み、イングランドが先制した。

鮮やかな崩しから先制したイングランド。スタンドに集まった観客も大きな盛り上がりを見せることに。その後、試合巧者のイングランドがゲームをコントロール。リードを保ったまま試合を終えようとしていた。
しかし、後半アディショナルタイム3分にドラマが。同点に追いつきたいブラジルが攻め込むと、ボックス右からアドリアーナがシュート性のクロス。これをGKメアリー・アープスがキャッチして終了かと思われたが、なんとファンブル。これを途中出場のアンドレッサ・アウベスが蹴り込み、奇跡の同点劇となった。

衝撃的な同点劇となった中、試合はPK戦へ。イングランドは2人目のトゥーンがGKにセーブされて失敗。ブラジルがリードを奪うが、ブラジルの2人目タミレスのシュートを、ミスから失点したGKアープスもセーブで応じる。

するとブラジルの3人目のラファエレのシュートはクロスバーを直撃し失敗。その後は互いに失敗せず、イングランドが土壇場に追いつかれるもPK戦の末に逃げ切り、初代女王に輝いた。

頭部同士が激しく激突、動けず12分間も治療…担架で運ばれたイングランド女子代表DFにはスタンドから拍手

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。 昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。 アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。 さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。 また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表が新ユニフォームを発表、赤ではなくなったアウェイは賛否分かれる「初めてじゃないか?」「そのチョイスはなしだ」
