ユベントスが今夏の移籍市場で高給取りの5選手の放出を検討しているようだ。
2020年から始まった新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大もあり、財政面に深刻なダメージを受けたユベントス。それでもトップクラブとしての座を維持するため必死のやりくりを図ったが、不正会計の疑いがかけられると、アンドレア・アニェッリ会長をはじめ、クラブ役員が昨年11月に総退陣した。
その後、調査を続けていたイタリアサッカー連盟(FIGC)からの処分が決定。すでに総退陣した幹部らへの活動禁止処分だけでなく、今季のセリエAにおいて勝ち点15を剥奪されることが今年1月に発表された。
これにより、順位が大きく下降したユベントスは、セリエAで20試合を消化して13位に。来季のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)出場権を得られるトップ4入りは極めて難しくなり、財政のさらなる悪化が懸念されている。
イタリア『ガゼッタ・デッロ・スポルト』によると、クラブは財政を安定させるべく、5人の選手の放出を計画しているとのことだ。
クラブはこれにより7000万ユーロ(約99億4000万円)のコスト削減を目論んでいる模様。ただし、多くの主力が退団となることで、戦力低下は免れない見通しとなっている。
