ジルーがアンリのフランス代表最多得点記録を更新!｢大きな誇りだ｣

ミランに所属するフランス代表FWオリヴィエ・ジルーが、ティエリ・アンリ氏を上回り、代表最多得点記録者となった。

フランス代表は4日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)ラウンド16のポーランド代表と対戦し3-1で勝利。この試合に先発したジルーは、44分にムバッペのパスからゴール前に抜け出しゴールネットを揺らして先制点を記録するなど、チームの勝利に貢献した。

このゴールにより、ジルーのフランス代表通算ゴールは「52」に。かつてアーセナルやバルセロナで活躍したフランス代表のレジェンドであるアンリ氏を超える歴代最多記録になった。

偉大なレジェンドの記録を更新したジルーは、試合後にフランス『TF1』で喜びを語った。

｢最高だよ!“ティティ”(アンリの愛称)にに勝てるなんて、子供の頃からの夢だったんだ。これは大きな誇りだよ。これからも可能な限り多くのゴールを決めれるように、コツコツ積み重ねていけたらと思っているよ｣

なお、準々決勝進出を決めたフランス代表は、10日にイングランド代表と対戦する。
