バイエルンのカナダ代表DFアルフォンソ・デイビスが、日本代表戦を欠場することになった。『ロイター通信』が伝えている。
デイビスは、今月5日に行われたブンデスリーガ第13節のヘルタ・ベルリン戦で右ハムストリングを負傷。バイエルンでの以降2試合を欠場していたが、先日に発表されたカナダ代表の招集メンバーには無事選出されていた。
しかし、現時点で負傷は完治しておらず、17日に行われる日本との大会前最後のテストマッチに向けた公式会見に出席したジョン・ハードマン監督は、デイビスの日本戦欠場を明言した。
なお、カナダの初戦は23日に行われるベルギー代表戦となっている。

「意味が分からない」カナダ代表の新ユニフォームはナイキのロゴが目立ちすぎ?他国と異なる仕様に「本当にがっかり」「冗談だろ?」
