カナダ代表のユニフォームデザインは大きく変わることに
カナダサッカー協会(CSA) とナイキは18日、カナダ代表の新ユニフォームを発表した。24日にコパ・アメリカ2024の出場権がかかるトリニダード・トバゴ代表とのCONCACAFプレーオフに臨むカナダ。重要な一戦を前に新ユニフォームが発表となった。
「明日」からインスピレーションを得たという新ユニフォームには、過去の代表に敬意を示し、ホームとアウェイの両方の襟の内側に代表のロゴがデザインされている。
ホームユニフォームについては、異なる2色の赤を採用。明るめの赤をベースとしながら、袖の部分はえんじのような色合いに切り替わっている。また、代表チームのエンブレムとナイキのスウッシュ(ロゴ)を胸元中央に上下に配置。赤のスウッシュは白で囲まれており、ストリートな印象を与えているという。
アウェイユニフォームについては、白をベースとしながら赤いストライプを13本あしらっている。13という数字は、国内の 10 州と 3 つの準州の合計からきており、それらが 1 つになることを表現し、過去のクラシックなスタイルを再考したということだ。
レトロな雰囲気になった新ユニフォームだが、ファンの反応は「本当にがっかりだ」、「最悪のデザイン」、「冗談だろ?」、「2時間でデザインしたみたいだ」といった辛辣な声が多めになっている。特に「スウッシュが目立ちすぎだ」、「ストリートスタイルのスウッシュってどういうこと?意味が分からない」と他の国とは違う仕様になったスウッシュ部分についての意見も多い。
なお、このユニフォームは24日のトリニダード・トバゴ戦でお披露目となった後、4月に開催されるシービリーブスカップで女子チームも着用する予定だ。

「意味が分からない」カナダ代表の新ユニフォームはナイキのロゴが目立ちすぎ?他国と異なる仕様に「本当にがっかり」「冗談だろ?」

交際5年目の美人彼女が途中出場!A・デイビスもカナダ女子代表を祝福
