かつてヴィッセル神戸でもプレーしベルギー代表でも活躍したトーマス・フェルマーレンが14日に37歳の誕生日を迎えた。アヤックスでキャリアをスタートさせたフェルマーレンは、アーセナルやバルセロナ、ローマでもプレー。2019年から2021年までは神戸でプレーし、Jリーグでも活躍した。
ベルギー代表としても活躍したフェルマーレンは、2022年1月に現役引退。神戸が最後のクラブとなった中、直後にベルギー代表のアシスタントコーチに就任。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にも帯同することとなる。
W杯を前に37歳の誕生日を迎えたフェルマーレンだが、妻であるポリー・パーソンズさんがインスタグラムで夫のバースデーを祝福。しかし、投稿した写真がまさかの日本ということで、大きな話題となっている。
ポリーさんは「私の全てに、ハッピー、ハッピーバースデー」と投稿。フェルマーレンとの2ショットをアップしたが、なんとそれは京都での写真。夜の「八坂の塔」をバックに2ショットを撮っていたのだ。
日本を去っても愛してくれていることがわかる写真。ベルギー代表の選手ではなくスタッフとして臨むW杯で、フェルマーレンはどう過ごすのか注目だ。

「大然だけ倍速です」横浜FMの前田大然が見せた驚愕の鬼スピード、レオ・セアラのパスにも称賛の声「オシャレすぎ」

サンペールは卓球のセンスも五輪レベル? 菊池流帆を手玉に取り「個人レッスンしてあげるよ」

頭部同士が激しく激突、動けず12分間も治療…担架で運ばれたイングランド女子代表DFにはスタンドから拍手

「エレガントだ」「絶対に買う」ベルギー代表の新ユニフォームが好評!カラーリング一新でファンの間でも話題に「とてもカッコいい」
