汚職事件の被害者FIFAに220億円が返還、アメリカ司法省による6年間の調査の結末
国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は25日、サッカー界にまつわる汚職事件の調査結果として、合計で2億100万ドル(約220億7500万円)が返還されることを発表した。 これは24日にアメリカ司法省(DOJ)が発表したもの。かつて起こった汚職事件の調査結果として、返還されるものとのことだ。 FIFAでは予てから横領などの問題が疑われていたなか、2015年にゼップ・ブラッター前会長が逮捕。その他にも、FIFAの職員やスペインサッカー連盟(RFEF)のアンヘル・マリア・ビジャール会長など多くの人が逮捕されていた。 イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、DOJは2015年からこの汚職事件について捜査を開始。50人以上の被告が刑事告発され、27人と4つの企業体が有罪を認め、2人が有罪判決を受けている状況だ。 これらの汚職には、詐欺、賄賂、ゆすり、マネーロンダリングなどあらゆる犯罪が起きており、職員とスポーツマーケティングの幹部の間での共謀が見られているという。 その結果、ブラッター会長が解任となり、現在のジャンニ・インファンティーノ会長が就任した。 なお、今回返還される2億100万ドルは、FIFAに加え、北中米カリブ海サッカー連盟(CONCACAF)、南米サッカー連盟(CONMEBOL)が被った損失の補償金とのこと。汚職に関わった元職員の銀行口座から押収されたとのことだ。 これらはFIFA財団の後援の下に設置された、FIFA基金に送られ、世界中のコミュニティにプラスの影響を与えるサッカー関連プロジェクトの資金調達にあてるという。 インファンティーノ会長は今回の件についてコメントしている。 「サッカー界から不法に吸い上げられたお金が、本来あるべき姿で、本来の目的で使用できるようになったことを嬉しく思う」 「この点での努力、これらの問題を結論に導くための迅速かつ効果的なアプローチ、そして一般的な信頼について、アメリカの司法当局に心から感謝したいと思う」 「真実は、2015年の彼らの介入のおかげで、FIFAを当時の有毒な組織から、高く評価され信頼されている世界的なスポーツ統治体に根本的に変えることができたということだ」 「ありがたいことに、我々は歴史の中でその不幸な時期をはるかに通り過ぎており、FIFA財団が自由に使える多額の資金が投入されたのを見るのは素晴らしいことだ」 なお、この基金は若者と地域社会のプログラムに特に焦点を当てることを目的としたものとのこと。汚職の重大な被害を受けた、CONCACAFとCONMEBOLのプロジェクトに割り当てられるという。 2021.08.25 09:45 Wed

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

「恐ろしい数カ月だった…」レイプ疑惑で逮捕されたダニエウ・アウベス、妻が離別を報告「これからもずっと彼を愛します」
