バルセロナでキャリアが落ち込むなか、今年1月に買取オプションが付帯した今季いっぱいのローンでビラ入りしたコウチーニョ。ここ数試合こそゴールやアシストから遠ざかるが、ここまで15試合出場で4得点3アシストを記録している。
買取オプションの行使に3300万ポンド(約53億3000万円)が必要といわれるが、リバプール時代のチームメイトであり、今や指揮官として起用を続けるスティーブン・ジェラード監督は先日、来季もチームにとどめたい思いを口にしている。
そして、イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、ビラは買取オプション額の半分にも満たない移籍金1200万ポンド(約19億3000万円)の1stオファーを打診。まだ合意に至っていないが、交渉は継続中で、まとめ上げる自信もあるという。
なお、コウチーニョとバルセロナの契約は来季まで。1stオファーの提示額は来季に向けた補強を視野に入れるなかで、資金繰りに苦しみ、人件費の削減にも躍起なバルセロナの状況を見越してのものとされるが、成立なるか。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ

乱入男がラリアット! アストン・ビラMFグリーリッシュが試合中に襲撃される
