マンチェスター・ユナイテッドからの退団が確実視されるフランス代表MFポール・ポグバ(29)は国外移籍をしそうだ。

2016年夏に当時の史上最高額となる移籍金でユベントスから堂々復帰を果たしたポグバ。それから6年が経つが、ケガがかなり多く、思い描いた通りにいっていない。

気分に左右されやすいプレーぶりでも批判の的になり、一向にファンの心を掴めずにいると、今季で契約最終年に。だが、更新の音沙汰がなく、移籍が濃厚とされる。

英国の中で最も裕福な人々を純資産でランク付けしている「Sunday Times Rich List」の最新版が発表された。これは、イギリス『サンデー・タイムズ』が発行しているもので、いわゆる長者番付と言われるもの。毎年ランク付けがされている。ランキングには実業家や投資家、アーティストやスポーツ選手など、あらゆるジャンルの人々の現在の資産を元にランク付けされ、毎年4月に更新されるものだ。今回はその最新版が発表。スポーツ部門で最も裕福な男に選ばれたのは、F1ドライバーのルイス・ハミルトンだった。ハミルトンは、2019年のF1グランプリで自身6度目の年間チャンピオンに輝いていたスタードライバー。メルセデスとの契約は昨年は4000万ポンド(約52億2000万円)とのこと。また、2023年までメルセデスと契約するため、6000万ポンド(約78億3500万円)の契約を結ぶことになるという。これにより、ハミルトンは2億2400万ポンド(約292億4600万円)の資産を持つこととなり、「Sunday Times Rich List」における現役アスリートでトップに。また、アスリートとして歴代記録を持っていた元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのデイビッド・ベッカム氏が2013年に引退した当時の2億ポンド(約261億1300万円)を超え、歴代1位となった。なお、2位には北アイルランド出身のプロゴルファーであるローリー・マキロイが入り、3700万ポンド(約48億3100万円)増の1億7000万ポンド(約222億円)の資産を保有するという。マキロイは今年2月に5年ぶりとなる世界ランキングトップに返り咲き、ナイキとゴルフメーカーのテイラーメイドと1億ドル(約107億円)のスポンサー契約を結んだとのことだ。また、30歳以下を対象にした「Young Rich List」というものもあり、これのスポーツ部門のトップは、レアル・マドリーに所属するウェールズ代表FWガレス・ベイルの1億1400万ポンド(約148億8500万円)だった。なお、「Young Rich List」はほとんどがプレミアリーグの選手がランキングを占めており、プレミアリーグ内では、フランス代表MFポール・ポグバ(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)が1位。続いて、ベルギー代表MFケビン・デ・ブライネ(マンチェスター・シティ)、スペイン代表GKダビド・デ・ヘア(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)となっている。なお、シティの選手はデ・ブライネとイングランド代表FWラヒーム・スターリングのみとなっている。「Sunday Times Rich List」の編集者であるロバート・ワッツ氏は「リッチリストを主に構成したのは、ルイス・ハミルトン、ローリー・マキロイの2人であったことは偶然ではない」とコメント。また「これらのスポーツスターは、「Sunday Times Rich List」の起業家やビジネスリーダーと大きく異なる。しかし、ゴルフ、ボクシング、モーターレース、サッカーなどのビッグネームは、ハードワークや規律、犠牲など、同じ能力を持っている」とコメントしている。 2020.05.14 12:50 Thu

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

フレッチャー氏の双子の息子がユナイテッドとプロ契約シティのアカデミーから昨夏加入
