ユーロ初戦ドローのスペイン、セスクはチームの課題指摘「チャンスをものにしなければならない」

モナコの元スペイン代表MFセスク・ファブレガスが、代表チームは改善が必要だと語った。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えている。

スペインは14日に行われたユーロ2020グループE第1節でスウェーデン代表と対戦。立ち上がりからボールを握ったスペインだったが、相手GKロビン・オルセンの好セーブに阻まれ得点を奪えない展開に。FWアルバロ・モラタとFWジェラール・モレノがそれぞれ訪れた決定機を決めなかったこともあり、ゴールレスドローで試合を終えた。

1点も決められなかった代表チームに対してはホームスタジアムからブーイングが飛び、特にモラタに対しては試合後も強い批判が浴びせられている。

こうした状況を受け、スペイン代表で通算110試合出場15ゴール37アシストの成績を残しているセスクは、イギリス『BBC』のインタビューに応じた際、代表チームの課題を指摘。チームとしての形があまり見えていないことを嘆いている。

「この試合はどう始めるかではなく、どう終わらせるかという例の一つであり、チームの大きな問題点だと思う」

「フランスが(オリヴィエ・)ジルーを起用してワールドカップ(W杯)を制覇した例があるのは知っている。とはいえ、(ストライカーは)チャンスをものにしなければならない。僕たちは試合に勝つため、十分なチャンスを作ったのだから」

「ただ、チームに対する大きな疑問点は他にもある。どのようにして守備を終え、どのようにして攻撃を終えるか、今日はそれが示せていなかった」

チームに対する課題を指摘したセスクだが、一方でスペインはグループステージを突破できるはずだとコメント。同時に、改善も必要だと語っている。

「スペインは少なくとも、グループステージを突破できるだけのクオリティは持っていると思うよ」

「彼らの前半に目を向けて欲しい。チャンスをものにはできなかったが、良いプレーはしていた。スペインは負けたわけではなく、世界の終わりというわけではない。彼らは成長していくと信じているよ。もちろん、確実に改善は必要だ」

ブラヒムのA代表変更・モロッコ代表入りほぼ確実、スペイン代表率いる恩師が3年ぶり招集検討も
