今回は総投票数の50%以上がシティの9選手に集まるという、2シーズンぶりに王者に返り咲いたシチズンズが圧倒する結果となったが、最終的にチームメイトのベルギー代表MFケビン・デ・ブライネとトッテナムのイングランド代表FWハリー・ケインを抑えて、プレミアリーグ初挑戦だったルベン・ジアスが受賞。同賞をDFが受賞するのは、1989年のリバプールに在籍していた元スコットランド代表のスティーブ・ニコル以来の快挙だ。

日本の若手俳優が写真集でまさかのハーランドの瞑想ポーズを披露!「絶対入れてほしいと強く言った写真」
