ンジャーズのスティーブン・ジェラード監督が、チェルシーのフランク・ランパード監督解任に反応した。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。
ランパード監督は2019年夏にチェルシーの監督に就任。就任1年目となった昨シーズンは補強禁止処分などがありながらも、プレミアリーグで4位の成績を残し、上々のスタートを切った。
更なる上位進出を狙うクラブは2020年夏に、総額2億ポンド(約283億3000万円)以上の大金をはたいた大型補強を実行。しかし、ここまで思ったような結果は出ず、19日に行われた第18節のレスター・シティ戦で敗れ、9位に転落。FAカップ4回戦のルートン・タウン戦では勝利したものの、25日にランパード監督解任が発表された。
ジェラード監督は、現役時代にイングランド代表で共にプレーしたランパード監督に言及。事情は分からないとしながらも、盟友の解任を悲しんだ。
「フランクのことは残念だ。彼は元チームメイトで尊敬している人だ。しかし、彼のことを知っていれば、すぐに戻ってくるとわかるだろう。きっと彼は自分自身を磨き上げて、また活動を再開する。彼には若い家族がいて、もうすぐ子供が生まれるからこの時間を家族と過ごす時間に使うと思う」
また、ジェラード監督はこの解任については驚いていないともコメント。それは監督の変更が激しいチェルシーというクラブの歴史によるものだと語った。

今夏チェルシー正式加入の逸材パエスは系列ストラスブール行きか…レンタルに向けた障害は両クラブの今季成績?
チェルシーの次代を担う逸材として注目されるエクアドル代表MFケンドリー・パエス(17)だが、ヨーロッパでのキャリアをストラスブールでスタートすることになるようだ。フランス『レキップ』が報じている。 10代前半から神童と評された177cmのクリエイティブな左利きのMFは、2023年2月に行われた国内リーグのムシュク・ルナ戦でファーストチームデビュー。同試合では15歳297日でのプリメーラ・カテゴリア・セリエA最年少デビュー記録に最年少ゴール記録を樹立。 2023年6月にはインデペンディエンテ・デル・バジェからチェルシーへの完全移籍が発表された。その後、同年10月に行われた北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選のボリビア代表戦ではA代表2キャップ目にしてゴールを記録し、W杯予選でゴールを決めた南米人史上最年少記録(16歳161日)も樹立した。 2007年5月4日生まれのパエスは、18歳の誕生日後に国際移籍が可能となり、2025-26シーズンのチェルシー入りが既定路線と見られていた。 エクアドル代表ですでに17キャップを誇り、イギリスの労働許可証取得は可能とみられるが、よりトップレベルでの経験を積ませたいクラブは『BlueCo』がマルチ・クラブ・オーナーシップ(MCO)で保有するフランスのストラスブールへ武者修行に出すことを検討。 すでにヨーロッパ入りしている17歳は8日からストラスブールのトレーニングに参加。リアム・ローゼナイアー監督からの評価も高いようだ。 ただ、レンタル移籍に向けた障害はストラスブールの予想外の躍進。今シーズンここまではリーグ・アン4位と上位に躍進しており、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)かヨーロッパリーグ(EL)の出場権を獲得する可能性が高い。 これに対して、チェルシーもプレミアリーグでCL出場圏内の4位に位置しており、同様にCLかEL出場権獲得の可能性は高い。 仮に、両クラブが同じUEFAコンペティションに出場する場合、同じオーナーを持つクラブの同時参加の問題はルールが緩和されているものの、当該クラブ間でのレンタル移籍が認められない可能性は高い。その場合、パエスは別のレンタル先を選択することになる。 2025.04.09 19:20 Wed
