カバーニは昨季限りでパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)との契約が切れ、フリーに。アトレティコ・マドリーやベンフィカが移籍先候補に挙がったが、最終的に1年延長オプションが付随した1年契約でユナイテッド移籍が決まった。
PSGでクラブ歴代最多の公式戦通算200ゴールを記録した申し分のない実績を誇るストライカーの到着。ユナイテッドの生え抜きエースであるラッシュフォードも心待ちにしているようだ。
17日に行われるプレミアリーグ第5節のニューカッスル戦こそ自宅隔離で出場できないカバーニだが、ラッシュフォードはイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』で期待を膨らませた。
「FW陣からすれば、(カバーニの到着は)楽しみだ。ゴールを量産してほしい。間違いなく試合に勝ったり、ポイントを獲得したりする面で助けになるからね」

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定
