チェルシーのドイツ代表FWティモ・ヴェルナーが親善試合を欠場することとなった。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えた。

UEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21に臨むドイツ代表に選ばれたヴェルナー。ドイツ代表はネーションズリーグの前の7日にトルコ代表との親善試合を行う。

しかし、トルコ戦に関してはヴェルナーは欠場することになると、アシスタントコーチのマルクス・ゾルク氏が明かした。

「ティモ・ヴェルナーは少し風邪をひいている。今日はチームに加わっていない」

7日のトルコ戦は欠場することとなるヴェルナーだが、数日でチームに加わり、10日に行われるネーションズリーグのウクライナ代表戦、13日に行われるスイス代表戦に向けて準備をするとのことだ。

また、移籍市場の最後まで去就が不透明だったチェルシーのDFアントニオ・リュディガーに関しては、1日遅れでチームに合流したとのこと。しかし、ヨアヒム・レーブ監督は「彼は間違いなく明日からスタートする」と火曜日の記者会見でコメントし、トルコ戦には出場可能のようだ。

ウェルナーはRBライプツィヒから今夏チェルシーへ移籍。ここまで5試合に出場し、EFLカップのトッテナム戦でチェルシーでの初ゴールを記録していた。

なお、すでにMFトニ・クロース(レアル・マドリー)とバイエルン勢、RBライプツィヒ勢はトルコ戦を回避することが発表されている。

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

ドイツサッカー界きってのカップル、フンメルス夫妻に離婚危機が浮上
