C・ロナウドは20日に行われたセリエA第34節のラツィオ戦にフル出場。51分に獲得したPKのチャンスから先制ゴールを決めると、その3分後にアルゼンチン代表FWパウロ・ディバラとのカウンターから追加点を奪ってみせ、2ゴールの活躍を披露し、優勝争いのライバルを退けた。

C・ロナウドはラツィオ戦後に試合を振り返り「素晴らしいシーズンを過ごしているチームとの試合はとても難しいことを分かっていた。でも、これが優勝するための大きなチャンスであることも分かっていた。僕たちはとても幸せだ」とコメント。一時は優勝を争っていたラツィオ戦に苦戦したことを明かした。

また、ラツィオ戦で2ゴールを記録し、今シーズンのゴール数を「30」に伸ばしたC・ロナウド。ラツィオのチーロ・インモービレも1ゴールを記録し、得点ランキングトップで並んだ。

また、61試合でセリエA50ゴールを達成したC・ロナウドは、ミランで活躍したFWアンドリー・シェフチェンコ氏の68試合を抜き、リーグ最速記録を樹立した。ゴールの記録については、チームの勝利に付随するものだとの考えを明かした。

「記録は常に重要だが、重要なことはチームが勝つことだ。我々は驚異的なチームであり、今日もそれを示した。ただ、常に改善してレベルを上げたいと思っている」

リーグ制覇に向けては残り4試合となったユベントス。2位のインテルとは勝ち点差8となっており、結果次第では次節にも優勝が決定する。

それでもC・ロナウドは「あと4試合ある。これを間違ってはいけない。そして、セリエAがタフであることを知っている。でも、チームは順調だよ」と語り、気を抜く事はないとしながらも、チームの順調さを語った。

ユベントスは23日にウディネーゼと対戦。その後、26日にサンプドリア、29日にカリアリ、8月2日にローマと最終節を戦う。
