ユベントスを率いるマウリツィオ・サッリ監督は、古巣チェルシーからイタリア代表DFエメルソン・パルミエリ(25)の引き抜きを画策しているようだ。イギリス『エクスプレス』が報じている。

2018年1月に当時チェルシーを率いていたアントニオ・コンテ監督(インテル)に請われる形でローマから加入したエメルソン。昨シーズンはサッリ前監督の下、シーズン後半にスペイン代表DFマルコス・アロンソからポジションを奪うと、プレミアリーグ3位やヨーロッパリーグ優勝に貢献した。また、フランク・ランパード現監督の下でも信頼を勝ち取り、ケガによる離脱を強いられるまで開幕から左サイドバックのレギュラーを務めていた。

一方、今夏にイタリア代表MFレオナルド・スピナッツｫーラをローマに売却したユベントスは、左利きのサイドバックが現レギュラーのブラジル代表DFアレックス・サンドロのみに。また、両サイドでプレー可能なイタリア代表DFマッティア・デ・シリオが負傷を繰り返しており、先日には中盤が本職のフランス代表MFブレーズ・マテュイディをスクランブル起用するなど、同ポジションに大きな問題を抱えている。
そのため、サッリ監督は左サイドバックの補強に際して、ビルドアップやボールを基準とする特徴的な守備スタイルを熟知する教え子の獲得をクラブにリクエストしているようだ。

なお、サッリ監督が教え子に触手を動かす一方、チェルシーはエメルソンを重要な戦力として考えており、先日に新たな5年契約のオファーを掲示した模様だ。

1チームに1人欲しかった“万能型サイドバック”、ジャンルカ・ザンブロッタ
