元フランス代表のバカリ・サーニャは、自国サポーターから多くの批判を浴びているマンチェスター・ユナイテッドMFポール・ポグバを擁護した。『ロンドン・イブニング・スタンダード』に語っている。

ロシア・ワールドカップで優勝候補に挙げられているフランス代表の中盤を支えるポグバは、ピッチ内外で批判を受けることが多い。開幕直前の親善試合ではサポーターからブーイングを浴びる場面も見られた。

これらの批判は少なからずユナイテッドMFに影響を与えると、元アーセナルDFは語った。

「彼は自信に溢れる男だが、自分への批判を耳にすれば不快に感じるのは当然だ」

批判の原因は高すぎるポグバの能力にあると明かした。

「なぜ批判されるかって? それは彼の能力のせいさ。彼は天才だ。天才として生まれ、努力を積んだ。だから他のMFができないようなスキルを持っているんだ」

「だからみんな彼をトップ下の選手だと考えているんだ。でも守備的MFとしてプレーしているときは、トリッキーなことをする余裕はないんだ。でも平均以上の能力を持っているから、より攻撃的なプレーができる。しかし他の選手もいるし、彼の役割はDFを助けてチームとしてプレーすることさ」

そして、実際の試合では監督から与えられる役割があることをサポーターは理解する必要があると説明した。

「みんなは彼がMFであることを忘れてはいけないよ。彼の非凡な能力のせいで多くのことを期待してしまう。でも彼には監督からの指示があることを忘れてはいけないんだ」

「彼の言うことをしっかり聞いて、他の選手をより尊重する必要がある。チームが何よりも重要なことだからね。試合によってはより多くの自由を与えられるだろう。その時は他の選手が守備的MFとして低い位置を保つ。これらを理解しているのは選手だけであり、ファンにはわからないことさ」

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」

マテラッツィ、ジダンとの“頭突き事件”を引き起こした侮辱発言の真相を明かす

▽現役時代にインテルなどで活躍した元イタリア代表DFマルコ・マテラッツィ氏が、2006年ドイツ・ワールドカップ(W杯)決勝で起こした元フランス代表MFジネディーヌ・ジダン氏との“頭突き事件”で、自身が発した侮辱発言の真相を明かした。同氏がフランス『レキップ』のインタビューで語った。 ▽ジダン頭突き事件は、2006年7月9日にベルリン・オリンピアシュタディオンで行われたドイツW杯決勝のイタリア代表VSフランス代表の延長戦で起きた。それ以前から何度かジダン氏とマッチアップしていたマテラッツィ氏は、延長後半5分にジダン氏に対して、幾度か声をかけると、この挑発にのったジダン氏は無言のまま、マテラッツィ氏の胸に頭突きを見舞い、この暴力行為によってレッドカードを掲示され、自身の現役ラストマッチを退場という形で終えることになった。 ▽マテラッツィ氏は、同事件からちょうど10年目を迎える前日の8日にジダン氏の母国フランスのメディア『レキップ』で、ジダン氏に向けて言い放った侮辱発言の真相を明かしている。 「以前から多くの人々に、ジダンにあのような行為(頭突き)をさせた自分の発言内容について聞かれ続けてきた。だから、私はそのことに関して本を出版することを決めた」 「多くの新聞が推測したように、私は彼の母親についてではなく、彼の姉について言及した。私は15歳の頃に自分の母親を亡くしている。だから、彼の母親を侮辱するほど下劣な人間ではないんだ」 「また、私はあの事件がなぜこれほどの騒ぎとなったのか、未だに理解できないんだ。私があの日に関して覚えているのは、自分が決めたゴールだけだ」 「時々、イタリアでは街中でファンと遭遇することがあるけど、彼らは“マルコ、あいつ(ジダン)から頭突きを受けるなんてうまくやったな”と声をかけてくるんだ。ただ、僕は頭突きされた側だから、少し腹立たしい気持ちになる。それはこの事件の奇妙な部分でもある。ただ、個人的には大したことだと思っていないし、あの行為に怒ってもいないんだ」 ▽なおマテラッツィ氏は、ジダン頭突き事件後にイタリア国内のテレビ番組でこの侮辱発言に関して、「お前の姉貴より娼婦のほうがましだ」と発言していたことを認めていた。 2016.07.09 14:47 Sat
