ブラジル代表DFチアゴ・シウバが、過度なプレッシャーに晒されている同胞のFWネイマールを擁護した。ブラジル『globo』がコメントを伝えている。

ここまで代表通算113試合に出場し、同国のレジェンドであるペレ氏(77ゴール)に次ぐ歴代2位の69ゴールを挙げているネイマール。しかし先日、突如カタール・ワールドカップを最後に代表から退く意向を明らかに。精神面の負担が原因のようだ。

10日に行われたカタールW杯南米予選のコロンビア戦でも思うようなプレーができず、厳しいプレッシャーに晒されている中で、チアゴ・シウバはネイマールを擁護。自身も似たような経験があったと語りつつ、エースを励ました。
「とても難しい状況だ。僕たちはあらゆる方面からプレッシャーを受けているけど、(ネイマールが受けているのは)違う種類の重圧だね。個人に的を絞ったものだ。彼のピッチ上での貢献を脇に置き、愉快じゃないことに焦点を当てている」

「彼は自分自身に多くのことを課している。もっと良いプレーをしなければならない、もっとピッチ上のことを把握しなければならないと思っているんだ。それに、自分が本調子じゃなかったことは分かっているはずだよ。内省的な一面もあるからね」
「でも、プレッシャーとは関係のないこともたくさんあるんだ。2014年のワールドカップの後、僕も似たようなことがあったよ。泣き虫で、メンタルが弱いと言われたんだ。傷ついたし、そうじゃないことは分かっているけどね」

「彼には楽しむことを忘れてほしくない。スペシャルな奴なんだ。好きなことをして幸せな時、彼は必ずやってくれる。その方がチームにとっても良いことだね」

ネイマールが生後2カ月の娘と元交際相手と再会、破局後も父親として子育てに関わる

「恐ろしい数カ月だった…」レイプ疑惑で逮捕されたダニエウ・アウベス、妻が離別を報告「これからもずっと彼を愛します」

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?
