岡崎慎司に続き、レスター“奇跡の優勝”メンバーがまたも引退決断…アンディ・キングが幼少期からファンだったクラブでプロキャリアに終止符「これが完璧な引退の仕方」
ブリストル・シティに所属する元ウェールズ代表MFアンディ・キング(35)が、今シーズン限りでの現役引退を発表した。 キングはチェルシーユースからレスター・シティの下部組織に移籍。2007年7月にファーストチームに昇格しプロキャリアをスタートさせた。 レスターでプレーを続け、2015-16シーズンには元日本代表FW岡崎慎司らと共に、奇跡のプレミアリーグ優勝を経験。チームを支えたものの、その後はスウォンジー・シティ、ダービー・カウンティ、レンジャーズ、ハダースフィールド・タウンとレンタル移籍を繰り返し、2020年7月にレスターを退団。2021年1月にOHルーヴェンに加入すると、2021年7月に幼少期からファンだったブリストルへと完全移籍していた。 レスターでは公式戦通算379試合に出場し62ゴール24アシストを記録。ブリストルでも公式戦63試合で1ゴール5アシストを記録していた。 今シーズンはチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)を戦うチームで出番が減り、公式戦17試合で616分間のプレーに終わっていた。 また、ウェールズ代表としてもプレーし、代表通算50試合2ゴールを記録していた。 レスター時代には2008-09シーズンにリーグ1(イングランド3部)、2013-14シーズンにチャンピオンシップでも優勝しており、同一チームで3つのリーグで優勝した最初で唯一の選手となっている。 キングはクラブを通じてコメントしている。 「素晴らしいサポートをしてくれた皆さんに感謝する。ここでの3年間は本当に大好きだった」 「僕が子供の頃から試合を見に来て、何年も過ごしてきたこのフットボールクラブでプレーすることができ、本当に光栄だった」 「自分のためにユニフォームを着て、家族と共にアシュトンゲートを出ることができるのは、僕の子供たちにとっても特別なことだった」 「最後の試合はブリストル・シティのシャツを着たいと思っていたし、それが僕にとって完璧な引退の仕方だと思っている」 2024.05.04 12:25 Sat

「素晴らしいムービーありがとう」W杯の熱量そのままに!開幕へ向けたJリーグのPVが大反響「四年後じゃない。二ヶ月後だ」

「まさに死闘ってカンジ」歴史に残るバーレーンとの4-3の激闘!2004年大会プレイバックに反響「このゴールで中澤佑二に惚れた」

「なんて可愛いんでしょ」オナイウ阿道が妻と愛娘と家族ショット、七五三での着物姿に「とってもかわいい」など祝福の声
