ウルグアイの重鎮DFゴディンが37歳で現役引退へ…週末ウラカン戦がラストマッチに

ベレス・サルスフィエルドに所属するウルグアイ代表DFディエゴ・ゴディン(37)が現役引退を決断したようだ。

ゴディンはカタール・ワールドカップに万全のコンディションで臨むため、昨年6月にアトレチコ・ミネイロとの契約を解消。その後、アルゼンチンの名門ベレスへフリートランスファーで加入していた。

その新天地ではこれまで公式戦20試合に出場。ただ、直近では負傷の影響などもあり、6月22日の出場を最後に戦列から離れている。

そういった中、ベレスは30日にウラカンとの今シーズンの最終戦を戦うが、この一戦を前にベレスの関係者は『AFP通信』に対して、これがゴディンの現役最後の試合になることを明かした。

「ディエゴ(・ゴディン)は日曜日が最後の試合になると決めた。その後、彼はウルグアイに戻り、再びプレーすることはない」

ゴディンはウルグアイのCAセロ、ナシオナルでプレーしたのち、2007年8月に海を渡りビジャレアルへと加入。2010年8月にはアトレティコ・マドリーへと完全移籍した。

チームの中心選手として守備を支えると、ラ・リーガ、コパ・デル・レイで1度ずつ、ヨーロッパリーグで2度の優勝を経験。2019年7月にインテルへと完全移籍した後、2020年9月からカリアリへと活躍の場を移していた。

クラブキャリアを通じては626試合に出場。ウルグアイ代表では2005年10月のデビュー以降、ここまで同国歴代最多となる161試合に出場。2010年南アフリカ大会から2022年カタール大会まで4大会連続でワールドカップ本大会に出場していた。

妻と胎児を侮辱され殴ったレアルMFバルベルデ、相手FWは侮辱を否定…最悪刑事責任を問われる可能性も
