自国開催ユーロまでに復活できるか? ドイツ代表への悲観論を連盟会長が退ける「大きな可能性を秘めている」

ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長が、ドイツ代表に関する大げさな悲観論を退けた。ドイツ『キッカー』が伝えている。

日本代表との国際親善試合で1-4と敗れたドイツ代表。ホームでの大敗から一夜明けた10日、DFBはハンジ・フリック監督を解任し、12日に行われたフランス代表との一戦はスポーツ・ディレクター(SD)のルディ・フェラー氏に暫定指揮を任せ、2-1で勝利した。

フリック監督解任を発表時、来夏自国開催のユーロ2024について「彼(フリック監督)の下で成功できると確信していた」と無念を滲ませていたノイエンドルフ会長だが、同時に「最近の残念な結果、チームの機能不全を受けたもので、やむを得ない」などと、現体制に終止符を打つべき時だったと説明した。

そうなると気になるのは後任だが、フェラーSDはフランス戦に先立って「指揮を執るのは1試合だけ」と明言しており、長年にわたって噂だけが1人歩きするリバプールのユルゲン・クロップ監督(56)もDFBの視界には入っていないという。就任への期待が高まっているのは、前バイエルン指揮官のユリアン・ナーゲルスマン氏(36)だ。

フランス戦直前に報道陣の問いかけに応じたノイエンドルフ会長は後任人事についての明言を避けつつ、悲観的になりすぎる必要はないと語っている。

「ドイツ代表には傑出した選手がいる。クラブで素晴らしい成績を収め、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)でもプレーする選手たちだ。下降線を辿っているとは思っていないし、大きな可能性も秘めている。フェラー(SD)だけでなく、連盟の全員がドイツ代表のためにいるのだから、ここは楽観的になるべきなのだ」

バイエルンは新監督候補とも言われる契約を残すナーゲルスマン氏との交渉を許可したとされているが、どういう決着を迎えるのだろうか。

ドイツサッカー界きってのカップル、フンメルス夫妻に離婚危機が浮上

リバプール退任決定のクロップ監督、休養希望もドイツ代表が招へいに動く?

マテウスが5度目の離婚…結婚時は「最後の妻になることを願う」と語るも叶わず
