イタリア代表のレジェンドでもある元守護神のジャンルイジ・ブッフォン氏が、ついに結婚式を執り行った。

2023年8月に自身が育ったクラブでもあるパルマで現役を引退。クラブキャリアでは975試合に出場し429試合でクリーンシートを達成。イタリア代表としても176試合に出場した言わずと知れたスター選手だ。

46歳となったブッフォン氏だが、2017年にプロポーズ。10年連れ添ったイラリア・ダミコさんとついに結婚式を執り行ったのだ。

イラリアさんは、弁護士を目指して勉強していた中、その後にイタリア『スカイ・スポーツ』のアナウンサーとなり、2018年に退職するまでプレゼンターやコメンテーターを務めていた。

ブッフォンは2017年にプロポーズしていたが、現役を引退するまで結婚することは待つことに決定。2023年にブッフォンが引退し、ついに2人は結ばれることに。そして、挙式を執り行った。

挙式は28日に行われ、ジョルジョ・キエッリーニ氏やルチアーノ・スパレッティ氏、レオナルド・ボヌッチ氏などかつてのチームメイトや恩師ら250人以上がゲストとして参加した。

ブッフォンは自身のインスタグラムにドレス姿のイラリアさんとの2ショットをアップ。ついに結ばれた2人の幸せそうな写真には祝福のコメントが寄せられていた。

ちなみに、ブッフォンとイラリアさんの間には4人の子供が既におり、FWとしてプレーする長男のルイス・トーマス・ブッフォンは16歳となった2023年7月にピサでプロ入りを果たしていた。
