チームを立て直すには辞任しかなかった長谷川健太監督/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み

「監督交代」という負の連鎖反応が止まらない。 J1リーグでは10月23日の第33節、仙台対広島戦で0-2と敗れた広島の城福監浩督が任期途中で退任。沢田謙太郎ヘッドコーチが残り5試合の指揮を執ることになった。11月3日の第34節ではFC東京に0-4と敗れた清水のロティーナ監督が「双方合意の上、契約を解除」したと発表され、ヘッドコーチやフィジカルコーチも契約解除となり、平岡宏章コーチが新監督に就任してJ1残留を目指すことになった。そして11月6日の第35節では横浜FMに0-8と大敗したFC東京の長谷川健太監督が、翌7日に辞意を表明し、チームもそれを受理。この原稿を書いている時点で後任監督は未定のままだ。元々、長谷川監督は就任4シーズン目の今季は無冠に終わったため、契約満了での退任が濃厚だった。にもかかわらず突然の辞任は、やはり横浜FMにクラブワーストとなる0-8で大敗したことが原因であることは想像に難くない。「勝負は時の運」とも言われる。その一方で「勝負に“れば"、“たら"は禁物」という言葉もある。それらを承知で横浜FM戦を振り返れば、“中2日の試合でのターンオーバーが失敗した"と言えるのではないだろうか。清水戦ではこれまで戦い慣れた[4-3-3]で、CBにはレバノン代表のジョアン・オマリ、トップ下にはテクニシャンにもかかわらず、好判断で前線からのプレスのスイッチ役になっていた髙萩洋次郎を起用。前線は永井謙佑、アダイウトン、ディエゴ・オリベイラと不動の3人を並べ、前半の飲水タイムの前に3点を奪って勝利を決定づけた。ところが横浜FM戦では負傷から復帰したCB渡辺剛をスタメン起用し、ジョアン・オマリはベンチにも入れなかった。そしてボランチには青木拓矢に代わって攻撃が持ち味の品田愛斗、サイドMFには東慶吾、2トップにも6試合の出場停止明けのレアンドロをスタートメンバーに送り込んだ。ところがレアンドロはボールが足に着かず、前線で攻撃の起点になれない。品田はロングパスに非凡なものを見せたが、守備の強度が足りなかった。1点目は仲川輝人へのパスが、タイミングが合わずにルーズボールとなったが、渡辺剛は慌ててタックルでクリアしたものの、これが自陣に戻る長友佑都に当たって前田大然に拾われ突破を許した。落ち着いて対処すればよかっただけなのに、慌てたのは試合勘が鈍っていたとしか思えない。 2点目は前半18分、森重真人が仲川をカニばさみタックルで倒してPKを与えたが、2点のビハインドなら後半での挽回も可能だっただろう。その直後に青木がウォームアップを始めたのは、やはり品田では横浜FMの圧力に耐えられないと指揮官が判断したに違いない。その後はGK波多野豪のミスから3点目を許すと、前半39分には左CKから森重が不要な反則でPKを与えると同時に2枚目のイエローカードで退場処分となる。この退場が致命的だった。ベンチに代役となる選手は19歳の大森理生しかいない。前半41分、1試合もJリーグでプレーしていない選手を、ディエゴ・オリベイラに代わって長谷川監督は送り込まなければならなかった。そしてこの交代も疑問に思ったものだ。試合から遠ざかっているレアンドロをベンチに下げるべきで、ディエゴ・オリベイラの方が相手にとっては脅威のはずだからだ。もちろんケガをしていれば別だが……。長谷川監督は0-3となった前半28分で右SB中村拓海に代えて渡邊凌磨を、品田に代えて青木を送り込む。渡邊を右SBに置いたのは攻撃力を期待してのことだろう。中村にとっては予想外の交代だったかもしれない。ベンチに戻ることなくロッカーへ直行した。そして退場処分を受けた森重をベンチコートで迎えたのは監督やコーチではなく髙萩だった。 [4-4-1]のFC東京は横浜FMの猛攻を耐えるしかない。そこで後半8分、前田にハットトリックを許して0-5となった時点で、長谷川監督はレアンドロに代えて三田啓貴、永井に代えてアダイウトンを1トップに起用し、東を3バックの中央に置く[3-5-1]を採用した。ボランチは青木、三田、安部柊斗のトリプルで、右ウイングバックに長友、左ウイングバックに渡邊を置くシステムだ。すると防戦一方から徐々にではあるが反撃のチャンスを迎える。このシステム変更について長谷川監督は「トレーニングではまったくやっていないです。大森が10人で、Jリーグ初出場ということで心臓がバクバクだったと思います。その中で後半、少しでも落ち着いてプレーさせるにはキャプテンをそばに置いて、落ち着いてプレーさせたいという思いと、マリノスの両サイドが張り出してきて、4バックを新しいメンバーでやるにはちょっと辛い状況だった。攻撃でもサイドで高い位置を取れるように、その意味では東を真ん中に置いて、攻撃時には長友と渡邊を高い位置に持ってきてワンチャンスにどうにかできればという思いでやりました。トリプルボランチでサイドの補填と1トップに入ったときのフォローを狙いましたが、これはトレーニングでやっていないので選手たちも戸惑ったと思います。その中でも最後の最後まで切れることなくよくやってくれたと思っています」と説明した。残念ながら結果は伴わなかったものの、このアイデアと決断は賞賛したい。森保一監督には是非見てもらいたかった長谷川監督の采配でもある。そして監督辞任である。あまりに早い交代に中村は不満を感じ、何もできなかった品田と失点に絡んだ渡辺剛、8失点の波多野は自信を失い、森重は悔恨と同時に指揮官への不信感を募らせたかもしれない。チームは崩壊の危険すらある。それを防ぐには、指揮官を代えるしかないだろう。長谷川監督がそう判断したとしても何の不思議はないし、正しい選択だと思う。寂しい幕切れではあるが、これが“勝負の世界"の厳しい現実でもある。 2021.11.09 17:00 Tue

「なぜ揃えなかった?」ブラジル代表の新ユニフォームはバランスが良くない?エンブレムが中央に配置され左右非対称に「ナイキのロゴも寄せてくれ」
