「もう一度海外で…」欧州再挑戦のセルティックMF井手口陽介が強い想いを口に「本当に良い結果を出したい」

セルティックの日本代表MF井手口陽介が、セルティックへの思いを語った。クラブ公式サイトが伝えた。今冬の移籍市場で、井手口に加え、FW前田大然、MF旗手怜央と日本人3名を一気に獲得したセルティック。昨夏に加入し、すでにヒーローとなっているFW古橋亨梧も加えた4名の日本人選手には、ファンからも大きな期待が寄せられている。

そのセルティックはウィンターブレイクが明け、17日に2022年の初戦を迎えることに。スコティッシュ・プレミアシップ第21節でハイバーニアンをホームに迎える。
現在2位につけ、首位のレンジャーズを追いかけるセルティック。再び欧州の舞台に立つこととなった井手口は、自身のスタイルを見てもらいたいと語った。

「ハードワークもそうですし、ボールを奪って、そこから攻撃に繋げるということが僕のスタイルだと思います。是非僕のスタイルを見てもらいたいです」
井手口はガンバ大阪からリーズ・ユナイテッドへと移籍。イギリスではプレーできないため、スペインのクルトゥラル・レオネサ、ドイツのグロイター・フュルトでのプレーを経験したが、期待された結果を残せず、G大阪へと復帰していた。

自身2度目のヨーロッパ挑戦。その想いをずっと抱えていたとし、ここで結果を残したいと意気込んだ。

「グラスゴーは本当に綺麗で、歩いていてもここは良い街だと感じます」

「サッカー選手として初めて海外に行った時、個人的には思うような結果を残せませんでした。もう一度、海外のチームでプレーしたいという思いがずっとありました」

「なので、このチームが2度目のチャンスを与えてくれたため、100%セルティックに行きたいと思いました」

激しいプレスもかけ、攻撃にも出られる井手口。アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督のスタイルにはマッチする特徴を持っているが、ここで結果を出して成功したいと強く意気込んだ。

「もちろん、チームメイトとのコミュニケーショにゃスタッフともコミュニケーションがうまくいくかどうかに懸かっています。セルティックで、ここで貢献し、本当に良い結果を出したいと思っています」

「知らなかったからビックリした」セルティック加入井手口陽介の上半身タトゥーに驚きの声

「なんとか取り戻したい」9月以来の日本代表活動の前田大然、高校の先輩・渡辺剛との初活動は「2人で活躍したい」

アジアカップの開幕が近づく中で、日本代表FW前田大然(セルティック)が自身の状態について言及した。 12日に開幕を迎えるアジアカップ2023。カタールで開催される中で日本代表は調整を続けている。 ケガの影響もあり9月以降の日本代表活動に参加できなかったが、復帰してアジアカップで合流。9日に行われたヨルダン代表とのトレーニングマッチでもゴールを記録していた。 前田は11日のトレーニング後に取材に応じ、ヨルダン戦についてコメント。「個人というかチームとして良い状態だと思います。ここ数回は辞退していたので、なんとか取り戻したいとやっていて、練習試合でしたけどしっかりゴールできて良かったです」と、ゴールを喜んだ。 セルティックでもリーグ戦5試合欠場したもの、12月中旬に復帰。5試合を戦った中、合流直前のセント・ミレン戦では10月以来のゴールを記録した。 「復帰してチームでも2、3試合やりましたし、こっちに来る前にゴールもできていたので、問題ないです」と状態は問題ないと語った前田。11日のトレーニングは途中で離脱したが「コンディションを上げたいという部分もありましたが、明日の練習から全然大丈夫なので問題ないです」と、大きな問題ではないとした。 開幕は12日だが、日本の初戦はベトナム代表と14日に行われる。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のアジア予選でも戦ったベトナム。格下ではあるが、簡単にも勝たせてもらえない相手だ。 前田は「練習前にミーティングしましたけど、ベトナムとは1点差のゲームが多くて、難しい試合になることは間違い無いです」とコメント。「ただ、前と比べるとチームは大きく進化しているので、自分たちのサッカーをすれば良い試合ができていると思います」と、今の日本代表の戦いができれば問題はないと語った。 一方で、トレーニングマッチのヨルダン戦ではカウンターから失点。前田は失点はない方が良いとしながらも、本大会前に確認できたことは良かったとした。 「失点してきていなかった中での失点ですが、試合をやっていればどうしてもしてしまいますし、大会前にチームとして経験できたこと、そういうこともあるということが分かったのはこれから先やっていく上で良かったかなと。失点は無い方がもちろんいいので、減らしていけば良いと思います」 今回の日本代表には、山梨学院大学附属高校の1つ先輩であるDF渡辺剛(ヘント)が招集されている。高校の先輩と代表では初の活動になるが、「一緒にやりたいというのは常にあったので、今回初めてそういう機会が得られたので、母校を盛り上げるように2人で活躍したいです」とコメント。ついに実現したことを喜んだ。 2024.01.11 23:57 Thu
