イングランド代表を率いるトーマス・トゥヘル監督がアーセナルのDFベン・ホワイトに代表復帰を要請するようだ。2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選の組み合わせが決まったことを受けて臨んだ会見で明かしている。

ホワイトの代表招集があるのかと問われたトゥヘル監督は｢私は彼に連絡を取るつもりだ。真っ新なスタートであり、明確な物語であるべき｣との見解を示した。

ホワイトは2022年カタールW杯で途中離脱して以降、代表招集を見送っている。ガレス・サウスゲイト監督時代にアシスタントマネージャーを務めていたスティーブ・ホランド氏との確執が噂されていた。
現在、ヒザの手術を受けて戦列を離れているホワイトだが、トゥヘル監督の下で代表復帰となるだろうか。

フランスW杯の戦犯が…ベッカム史上最高のFKから20年「特別な瞬間だった」

イングランド代表、指揮官がCB陣の世代交代を示唆… 22歳グエイや20歳コルウィルら称える「競争を望んでいる」
