7月24日に開幕するパリ五輪。自国開催で1984年大会以来2度目の金メダルを目指すフランスは、オーバーエージを3人招集。27歳のFWジャン=フィリップ・マテタ、24歳のDFロイク・バデと共に最年長となる33歳ラカゼットが選出され、主将を務めることになった。
ラカゼットは主将就任を受けて｢監督と相談して喜んで引き受けることにした。私にとっては当然の決断だった。一生に一度のことなんだからね｣とコメント。
昨季はリーグ・アン29試合出場19ゴールと、リヨン復帰以降は本来の得点力を発揮しているラカゼットが主将として母国を歓喜に導けるかに注目だ。

2025年の仏リーグ最高給取りはデンベレに! PSGが上位12位まで独占

パリ五輪準優勝のフランスで悲劇…選手1名が規定で唯一銀メダル受け取れず…

開幕までおよそ1カ月、名古屋やアーセナルを指揮したヴェンゲル氏がパリ五輪の聖火ランナーを務める

「冗談かと思った」アンリ監督が名誉ある聖火リレー第一走者に…建国国記念日にパリのシャンゼリゼ通りでスタート
