イングランド代表DFショー

ユーロ2024メンバーに滑り込みのイングランド代表DFルーク・ショーだが、グループステージ最終戦も出場できるかどうか不透明なようだ。

イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、25日に行われる最終節のスロベニア代表戦から起用できるようになるのが見込まれ、メンバー入りした28歳の左サイドバックだが、21日のトレーニングも欠席。依然として別メニューでの調整が続く状況から、スロベニア戦の出場も疑問視されるという。

ショーは今季のマンチェスター・ユナイテッドで筋肉系の故障を繰り返し、公式戦15試合に出場ししたのみに。プレーからも2月中旬を最後に遠ざかるなか、ガレス・サウスゲイト監督から声がかかり、周囲の驚きを誘った。

そんなショーに代わり、ここまでの2試合でキーラン・トリッピアーを左サイドバックで起用するイングランドは1勝1分けの勝ち点4で首位。突破は果たしそうだが、先のデンマーク代表戦では引き分けの結果だけでなく、乏しい内容に眉をひそめるような意見も飛び、今後の戦いに不安を残す。
