かつてサウサンプトンでも活躍したジェイ・ロドリゲス。WBAでのプレーを挟み、2019年7月から生まれ故郷の古巣であるバーンリーに復帰した。
昨季のチャンピオンシップで10ゴールをマークし、プレミアリーグ返り咲きに貢献。その今季はリーグ戦2ゴールにとどまったが、21試合に出場した。
バーンリーは1年での降格が決まり、ジェイ・ロドリゲスも今季限りの契約状況だったが、来季もとどまる運びに。来季でバーンリー11年目となる。
