ヴィッセル神戸は6日、元スペイン代表MFフアン・マタ(35)の退団を発表した。
かつてスペイン代表としてワールドカップを制したほか、クラブレベルでもバレンシアやチェルシー、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドで活躍したマタ。昨夏にガラタサライとの契約が切れ、同年9月に神戸入りした。
名手の加入とあって注目されたが、J1リーグ1試合の途中出場にとどまり、プレータイムも10分間のみに。チームは初のJ1リーグ制覇を果たしたが、堅守速攻のスタイルにもフィットできず、活躍とはならなかった。
契約満了により、退団が決まったマタはクラブの公式サイトで感謝の言葉を綴り、今後のチームにエールを送っている。

元スペイン代表MFマタが神戸退団…9月加入も出場1試合 「一緒に過ごした思い出を決して忘れません」

ベッカムに並ぶ“イケメン”…日韓W杯で一大ブームとなったイルハンはすっかり“イケオジ”に

来日5年‥家族も2人増えたイニエスタの妻が改めて心境を綴る「この冒険を一緒に生き続けることは光栄です!」

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」
