「守護神維持のため全力尽くす」日本代表戦を前にドイツの守護神テア・シュテーゲンが意気込み

ドイツ代表GKマルク=アンドレ・テア・シュテーゲンが、代表チームで守護神の座を掴んだことを喜んだ。ドイツ『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。

バルセロナの絶対的守護神であり、世界トップクラスのゴールキーパーの一人と評されるテア・シュテーゲン。しかし、ドイツ代表では長らくGKマヌエル・ノイアーが絶対的な守護神として君臨しており、多少調子を落としたくらいでその立場は揺るがなかった。

その影響もあり、これまで代表ではセカンドキーパーに甘んじ、クラブでほどの存在感は発揮できていなかったテア・シュテーゲン。かつてはその扱いについて、不満を漏らす一幕もあった。

しかし、そのノイアーは昨年11月に開催されたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)後の休暇中、スキーツーリングで足を骨折。長期離脱を余儀なくされており、すでにバイエルンのトレーニングには復帰しているが、いまだ公式戦復帰までは至っていない。

ノイアーの離脱中に行われた代表戦5試合中4試合では、テア・シュテーゲンが先発。チームの新たな守護神として、9日に行われる日本代表との国際親善試合でも先発が濃厚と見られている。

テア・シュテーゲン自身は、ようやく掴んだ正守護神の座に充実感を覚えているようだ。6日に行われた代表チームの記者会見で、この座は誰にも譲りたくないと語り、パフォーマンスの維持に向けて意気込みを示している。

「そう、今は僕が代表チームの正ゴールキーパーなんだ。この瞬間を長い間待っていたし、チャンスを掴めると信じていた。今はこの地位を維持するため、全力を尽くしていきたい」

「先発できないなら行かない」バルサが補強を目指すシュチェスニー、自身の態度を同胞に明言か「レヴァンドフスキが電話をした」

世界最高の選手とは…DFでただ1人バロンドールを2度受賞した“皇帝”フランツ・ベッケンバウアー

29歳で引退した元W杯王者の転身が話題!ほぼ裸で雪山に登頂、自分の人生を見直すきっかけに
