ユベントスがイタリア代表DFフェデリコ・ガッティ(25)との契約延長交渉を始めるようだ。イタリア『TuttoMercatoWeb』が伝えている。

苦労人として知られるガッティ。2020-21シーズンまでセリエCのプロ・パドリアという小さなクラブに所属していたセンターバックは、翌シーズンからセリエBのフロジノーネ、さらに昨シーズンはユベントスとここ2年で急速にステップアップを果たし、昨年6月にA代表デビューも飾った。

昨季はほとんど出番がなかった前半戦を終え、今年3月ごろからようやく定位置を掴み、最終的に公式戦27試合でプレー。ただ、今季はセリエA開幕3試合で1試合の出場にとどまっており、必ずしも主力選手とは言い難い立場にある。
それでも2027年6月まで残している契約のさらなる延長に向けた協議が始まるとのことで、イタリア『トゥット・スポルト』によると、ガッティの代理人が9月後半にユベントスのスポーツ・ディレクター(SD)を務めるクリスティアーノ・ジュントリ氏との会談に臨む予定だという。

また、ユベントスとしては、ガッティに関心を寄せていると昨季終盤から報じられているエバートンが念頭にあるようで、契約の1年延長に加えて年俸アップも提案する見通しとのことだ。
ユベントスは前人未到のセリエA9連覇を成し遂げた時代の初期、アンドレア・バルザーリ氏、DFジョルジョ・キエッリーニ(現:ロサンゼルスFC)、DFレオナルド・ボヌッチ(現:ウニオン・ベルリン)というイタリア人センターバック3枚が最終ラインに君臨。難攻不落の壁を築き上げた。

栄光の歴史にイタリア人センターバックあり。初めて欧州の頂点に立った80年代後半には故ガエターノ・シレア氏、2度目の栄冠が訪れた90年代後半にはチロ・フェラーラ氏も在籍した。まだ25歳と若いガッティなくしてユベントスの再建はない。

日本人が目指すべきCB像、“希少なバロンドーラー“ファビオ・カンナバーロ

1チームに1人欲しかった“万能型サイドバック”、ジャンルカ・ザンブロッタ
