イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は4日、ユーロ2024予選に臨むイングランド代表メンバーの変更を発表した。

招集を受けていたマンチェスター・シティのFWジャック・グリーリッシュとリバプールのDFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドが離脱することが決定した。2人は4日にトレーニング施設のセント・ジョージズ・パークを訪れ、キャンプ開始前に負傷箇所をチェック。その結果、離脱が決定した。

グリーリッシュはケガにより、2日のフルアム戦を欠場。アレクサンダー=アーノルドは3日のアストン・ビラ戦に出場もハムストリングを痛めて途中交代していた。
なお、追加招集メンバーは予定されていないとのこと。ニューカッスルのDFキーラン・トリッピアーは個人的な理由で6日に遅れて合流するという。

イングランドは、9日にユーロ2024予選でウクライナ代表と対戦。13日にスコットランド代表とのフレンドリーマッチを行う。

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。 昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。 アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。 さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。 また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

「頭いい」ピックフォードがドリンクボトルに相手PKのデータを貼付「カンニングしている…」

イングランド代表のコーチ陣にコクラン氏が入閣、世代別のイングランド代表監督を務めた経験もある若手指導者…トゥヘル監督が最後の1人に指名

イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は26日、イングランド代表のコーチにジャスティン・コクラン氏(43)が就任することを発表した。 トーマス・トゥヘル監督が就任し、初の活動を3月に控えているイングランド。2026年の北中米ワールドカップ予選がスタートする中で、新たなコーチングスタッフが決定した。 コクラン氏は、クイーンズ・パーク・レンジャーズ(QPR)でキャリアをスタート。イングランドやアメリカでプレーし、2013年7月に現役を引退。引退前からトッテナムのアカデミーのスタッフとして働くと、U-15、U-16、U-17のイングランド代表の監督も務めていた。 イングランド代表の育成に携わってきたコクラン氏は、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドの育成ディレクターも務め、現在はブレントフォードでトーマス・フランク監督の右腕として指導にあたっている。 FAによれば、ブレントフォードとは兼任となるとのこと。トゥヘル監督は、アシスタントコーチのアンソニー・バリー氏、GKコーチのエンリケ・イラリオ氏、パフォーマンスコーチのニコラス・マイヤー氏らがいるコーチングスタッフの最後のメンバーとして迎えることを決めたという。 2025.02.27 11:50 Thu

相手が恐れる右手…ストライカーの完成形と呼ばれた男、アラン・シアラー
