今夏来日する可能性があると報じられているバルセロナだが、クラブのレジェンドが既に来日していた。スペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』はバルセロナが来日の計画を立てていると報じ、アンドレス・イニエスタと連絡を取っているとしていた中、そのイニエスタをレジェンドが訪問していた。
イニエスタが所属するヴィッセル神戸は、昨シーズンまでスポンサーでもあった楽天との関係もあり、バルセロナとの関係が強い。現在はイニエスタ、そして下部組織育ちのMFセルジ・サンペールが所属。過去にも、FWダビド・ビジャ、FWボージャン・クルキッチ、DFトーマス・フェルマーレンとバルセロナでプレーした選手たちが所属していた。
今回来日しているのは、元スペイン代表DFカルレス・プジョール氏。バルセロナ一筋の元キャプテンで、イニエスタとはバルセロナでもスペイン代表でもチームメイトとして多くの成功を収めてきた仲だ。
プジョール氏は自身のインスタグラムを更新。神戸の港をバックにイニエスタと肩組み2ショットを投稿。「偉大な、何よりも偉大な友人と。アンドレス・イニエスタに会えて嬉しい。全て最高だ」と投稿していた。
果たしてこれはバルセロナ来日と何か関係があるのか。プジョール氏はストリーズではラーメンを食べたことも報告しており、日本での束の間の時間を楽しんでいるようだ。

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」

2011～2020年の世界ベストイレブンが発表!イニエスタとともに中盤に入ったのは相棒チャビではなく…

横浜FM・仲川輝人が好評の名鑑画像並び替えクイズに登場、高難易度にファン苦戦「髪型良く変わるから難しい」

「スペインより日本の方が長い」来日5年のイニエスタが8歳長男の誕生日を祝福!「お父さんにそっくり」

ベッカムに並ぶ“イケメン”…日韓W杯で一大ブームとなったイルハンはすっかり“イケオジ”に

来日5年‥家族も2人増えたイニエスタの妻が改めて心境を綴る「この冒険を一緒に生き続けることは光栄です!」
