アストン・ビラは16日、メジャーリーグサッカー(MLS)のシカゴ・ファイアーからコロンビア代表FWジョン・デュラン(19)の獲得合意を発表した。この移籍は選手がメディカルチェックを受け、個人条件の合意や就労ビザの取得が条件となる。
母国クラブのエンビガドでプロ入りしたデュランは2019年2月に15歳という若さでトップチームデビューの注目株。身長185cmの左利きストライカーで、2022年1月からシカゴ・ファイアーに移った。
そのアメリカでは移籍1年目から公式戦30試合に出場して8得点6アシスト。2022年9月にコロンビアのフル代表デビューも遂げ、まだゴールなしだが、これまで3キャップを記録している。
イギリス『The Athletic』によると、移籍金は総額で1810万ポンド(約28億4000万円)。固定の移籍金額は1480万ポンド(約23億2000万円)で、残りは出来高払いになるという。
