ワトフォードは14日、フルミネンセからU-20ブラジル代表FWマテウス・マルティンス(19)を獲得したことを発表した。

移籍市場に精通するファブリツィオ・ロマーノ氏によると、今回の移籍はウディネーゼとワトフォードを保有するポッツォファミリー主導のオペレーションとなっており、ウディネーゼが600万ユーロ(約8億6000万円)+アドオン300万ユーロ(約4億3000万円)の完全移籍で獲得した後、1年のレンタル移籍という形でワトフォードに加わることになったという。

フルミネンセの下部組織出身で2021年3月にトップチームデビューを飾ったマルティンスは、179cmの右利きのアタッカー。幼少期から目標とするネイマールを彷彿とさせるドリブル、創造性に優れる若きクラックは、左ウイングやセンターフォワードを主戦場に圧倒的な打開力を売りとする逸材だ。

フルミネンセのトップチームではここまで51試合6ゴール5アシストを記録。また、U-16以降はブラジルの世代別代表チームでもプレーしている。

ワトフォード18歳ブラジル人FW、15歳彼女との親密交際に法律の壁?
