現役時代にアーセナルやバルセロナ、ニューヨーク・レッドブルズで活躍したアンリ氏は、2014年に現役引退。引退後はイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』などで解説者を務める傍ら、古巣アーセナルのU-18チームのコーチ、2016年からはベルギー代表でロベルト・マルティネス監督の下でアシスタントコーチを歴任。
その後、2018年10月に古巣のモナコで監督に就任。しかし3カ月でその職を終えると、2019年11月からCFモントリオールで監督を務めていたが、今年2月に家族を理由にモントリオールの監督を辞任。フリーとなっていた。
